I believe that the Diplomat cried when he arrived before his High King, and then went on to take the Slayer Oath for letting his beard get shaven.

The diplomat in the story was the son of the high king so the shaved beard was put in the GREAT book of grudges which is the book for the whole dwarf race hold by the high king

I just love how he is the "Skeletor" I always wanted but never knew about, always makes me laugh learning about him.

I just looked it up, Nagashizzar means "Glory of Nagash"

such is the power of nagash

So the evil sorcerer that put part of his power into magical artifacts, who's soul just recreates his body after millennia. This guy is straight up Sauron.

Pancreasnowork is quickly becoming one of my favorite Warhammer lore creators!

Most Warhammer villains: "I'm going to slaughter lots of people in the world because the alternative is worse/I have no choice."

Nagash: "Hi everybody!  I know I don't own them, but I want all your bones and souls and I'm not asking."

As a counterpoint to "all elves are assholes", Caledor Dragontamer created the vortex with the hope that he would be trapped inside of it, maintaining it, for the rest of eternity. And Teclis is generally decent, prefers Diplomacy & Teamwork, helped Magnus the Pious with the Great War Against Chaos, and founded the Colleges of Magic so that 1. Mankind wouldn't keep falling to chaos accidentally because they had no idea what the f*ck they were doing, and 2. So that they had the use of Magic, like healing, alchemy, excorcisms, banishing deamons, protections from demons, and predicting when catastrophe's were likely to occur in order to cut it off as early as possible. With the best explosives they pyrotechnicians could produce.

I also haven't really heard anything bad about Finubar the Seafarer, and what I have heard is neutral-to-good, granted, I haven't heard much.

If you wanna learn about the cool water guys, I recommend reacting to "Do or Don't: Idoneth Deepkin" by PancreasNoWork.

23:08 my thoughts on how that went down; Nagash," nah nah nah you can't stop me!" Big boom in the background and then a skaven corpse lands at his feet. Nagash, " HOW DID I FORGET ABOUT THE ME DAMNED RATS!!!!!!" Chaos gods laugh in the background. Necroquake still mostly works, Nagash, "HAHAHAHAHA I STILL WIN!"

I'd say that Trazyn is slightly more dickish simply because Nagash does what he does for power, which is a justifiable motivation, whilst Trazyn does it to feed his side hobby or mess with his old frenemy Orikan which just makes it all a little bit pettier overall.

your disgust at malekith banging his own mom is the same disgust i have when talking about the dark eldar xD

Pancreas is a massive elf simp so he lets the whole beard thing slide.

I would actually listen to a video about the War of the Beard. Pancreas has already talked me into buying the Gotrek and Felix omnibus.

I don’t know if you’ll see this, but you should react to his “What if the Chaos Gods were starved” its a cool thought experiment

fun fact about getting in that book of grudges, no non dwarven grudge has ever been resolved without violence.

The Age of Mythology music in the background is killing me

nagash screwing with the natives near his fortress nagashizzar also created the cannibalistic ghouls. personally im all down for high queen khalida and richter kreugar. complete archetypes of being undead while hating vampires/necromancers and rejecting any kind of cooperation out of principle. also: ashniel had it coming being squashed by nagash with a pillar after how she screwed over alith anar. the war of the beard stuff included cutting flesh from the envoys chin as well, so the hair had no chance to regrow. this is bad because their beards were for the dwarfs not only a link to their ancestors but also key to finding their way into the afterlife. but the shaven envoys basically founded the dwarvish tradition to take the oath of the slayer, so at least they got a way to channel their grief and humiliation while absolutely getting wasted at every given opportunity. by the way female warhammer dwarfs dont have beards

I love that Nagash is basically the embodiment of a quote from a favorite character of mine from Shadow of War. "Necromancers never truly die." While I've never read the End Times stuff, it still strikes me as odd that the skaven sided with Chaos when that clearly would be going against their desire for world domination since helping Chaos means destroying the world. At best, I think they would've done what they did when Nagash was on the cusp of taking over the world by temporarily allying with everyone else before going right back to scheming and backstabbing everyone else, including themselves because skaven. Maybe even have a side story where Clan Mors uses the anarchy as a reason to somehow take full control of the Under-Empire so that it'd be unified and possibly more efficient at the very least to deal with the danger. I can think of a lot of things they could've done with just the skaven alone. I don't know if these are actually good ideas, but bloody hell do they sound better than the End Times.
