Well, girls, I'm back! Hooray! The power and internet are back. Ten hours without power, and the first thing I do is write a recipe for these simple "cheburechki" (chebureki) with cottage cheese and onions. You might ask, "How do I milk the cows and manage the chores in the evening?" My daughter is holding a flashlight, and we're also enlisting my grandson to help hold the flashlights, but we've gotten used to it and adapted. So, anyone who's upset that I didn't write the recipe for some reason—don't be angry and be patient! That's life! I didn't have time to write the recipe before the power went out, but the recipe itself is shown in detail in the video itself.
✅️ Cheburek-style dough recipe:
× 400 ml warm water
× 1 tsp salt
× 700 g flour
× 2 tbsp sunflower oil
× 0.5 tsp baking soda, quenched with 9% vinegar or 1 tsp baking powder (do not quench the baking powder with vinegar!)
Knead the dough for 3-4 minutes.
✳️The filling is delicious and original. Let's try something new and unusual together if you haven't had these chebureks!
×500g cottage cheese
×250g finely chopped onion
×0.5 tsp salt
×1 egg
The onion and cottage cheese will cook through while the chebureki are frying, so they won't be crunchy. Chop them as finely as possible or puree them in a blender.
Fry the formed chebureki immediately; don't let the dough and filling rest. Delicious, unusual, and a great substitute for ground meat (but of course! Ground meat can't be replaced with anything, but you can try!)
The dough itself can be frozen after it's shaped into a round shape, but without the filling.
⁉️ Well, I think I've taken all your questions into account and written the answers here! But that's not certain... 😉
I WISH YOU ALL warmth in your home and a light bulb in every window! But most importantly, have a quiet night 🌙 and day!
Bon appétit, everyone, and warm milk on the table!
