Lots of useful info in your video! Thanks for your insights. I’ll be doing the TMB this July (‘26 w/68 yo lifelong hiking bud) Like the idea of tenting but the bones are getting a little creaky) We went with a “guide” service to book huts. Many present as being US based but most contract out actual bookings w/EU-based companies. Totally understand how your snafu with booking can happen. I have no language skills which can open doors in foreign lands.
All rhe Best with your channel! Cheers from Alaska✌️

Really appreciate the level of detail! This is a great resource for those planning to do the trail.

We appreciated private huts in the refugios. Decided to book a self-led trek with a company for logistics but it was more our style and kept our packs under 14lbs. 🙌 Everyone’s gotta hike their own hike. So many options for TMB.

Loved your video, insights and spirit.  We are doing August 2026 and we are training hard!

Enjoyed that…. Thank you 🏕️🏔️👌

I watched a couple of videos about this trek but yours was the best, you are such an authentic and genuine person. Thank you so much for your insights. The bedbugs story was terrifying, they are terrible and easy to spread unfortunately, I know I will go with a tent.
Ps the breakdown could be without flights-cause everyone is traveling from different countries, yes we are watching you from Europe too:)

pretty awesome insights, thanks for sharing :)

Planning my 2026 TMB so this was super helpful, thanks

This is a very helpful video. Thank you so much! No flack for preferring camping -- I have a strong suspicion that group accommodations are not for me. I like my alone time. Most TMB videos talk about huts, but not camping, so I appreciate your perspective. (I also have a Six Moons Design 1-person tent! The Skyscape Trekker!) I have my eye on 2027 TMB, and I love your idea of camping with a couple of hotel nights. Thanks again! 😊

I def need to hit the gym after doing some legit hiking, great video!

Thanks.  Really enjoy your videos.  Intended to do TRT but scaled back to a shorter trip in Emigrant Wilderness. If I ever did the Tour du Mont Blanc think I'd likely prefer staying in my own tent, too.

No huts!😊 I sleep warm...& sleeping in a stuffy hut would be terrible! Cheers

Underrated vid. I hop3 do do this with my sister

Friend sent me this to convince me to hike…I screamed seeing that bug 🤣 soooo not ready but this was a great place to start!

This was a really helpful video. My sister, parents and I are in the midst of deciding if this is something we can tackle. My parents and I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2024 and it was tough. We definitely needed to kick up our cardio...how far were you running during your training for TMB?

This is really helpful and timely for me. We're planning next year's adventures and this was on my list. I might need to take it off of the list because of some of the challenges.  But that's ok!

Doing this in August 2026. Thanks for sharing!

Please tell me about the weather while you were there. Also, did you need the 20 degree quilt?

The bed bug thing is disturbing! I’m heading to the TMB in Sept.   did you have a liner to sleep in ?

Did you do this counter clockwise or clockwise?
