10:00 in the fallout 4 intro, the news anchor also mentions SE asia being unseasonably cold and this makes sense now

Fallout 4: The Gift that keeps on giving

The fallout world was so messed up to begin with, that it was likely going to blow up one way or another (figuratively or literally). Their apocalypse just made it more abrupt. They were already basically having a slower one in progress (just more "subtle"). I wouldn't really call any kind of apocalypse mercy. It involves so much loss and hardship for the "lucky" surviving few. It also tends to involve devastating effects to the environment. But some situations may present it as a "lesser evil" or at least quicker way to get the mess over with, to start sorting out the salvageable wreckage and work on starting over with. An apocalypse tends to be a widespread disaster by default, whether it's fast or slow, it's not pretty either way.

7:49 it would have be so scary if you activate Archimedes before you get to C finder and the kid using it on accident

Oxhorn for the fallout content to watch for hours, PEAK

Yes, the Forced Evolutionary Virus (FEV) was released into the air when the West Tek research facility in California (later known as "The Glow") was directly hit by a nuclear bomb during the Great War.The explosion severely damaged the underground facility, shattering the containment tanks and vaporizing the virus into the atmosphere. This spread a diluted, airborne strain of FEV across the wasteland, which had a few major impacts

Watching this after a couple of other lore videos, the state of "science" in America had devolved into depravity.  Surely the Big MT wasn't the only place where experiments like this were being cooked up.  I can't wait to see future Fallout games with areas that contain some rival labs and the fascinating horrors running around their labs.

Scientific research is x as I understand it, very competitive.  Why should it be immune to a lack of morals?

Was a tragedy, as with all the tech shown in dead money/old world blues America was on the cusp of solving resource sacrisity.  Unlimited power, resorces and food would have brought about a world wide PAX Americana.

Weather modification I think will always be a fever dream of every military force. Even if not killing crops to cause mass civilian issues, Imagine the destruction of dropping an American midwest style tornado outbreak on a country that rarely even sees strong thunderstorms. It would be a tactical nuke without any of the baggage. no radiation, no fallout, and nobody would know who did it if the project was secret enough.

1:27 "a superior advantage" now that's a quote

Orbital weapons?, Weather modification?, Robots?, Bio weapons?.... so just like real life?

i liked how the tv show made us think it was vault tec but it still isnt clear. it makes alot of sense if china dropped first. its already been talked about china going to war with the us because of biological research

27:00 there is a larger " Large Roboscorpion" outside, but from lore it over heated and exploded.

Just getting ready to mow my lawn and oxhorn drops a video. Hell yes

42:40 oh hey absinthe

Thanks for the upload! Listening in one ear while at work!

Depending on the cost of the emitters, you could deploy them like mines or have them backpack mounted to soldiers so they could move and let their hologram soldiers move ahead of them.
