The Bible LIED About The Babylonians
Dan Snow's History Hit

Babylon has a PR problem, and it's 2,600 years in the making.
The Bible remembers it as the ultimate city of sin, the place that crushed Jerusalem and dragged the Jewish people into exile. But if you look beyond this chapter, you find history's first true megacity. An ancient metropolis so influential that even the empires that conquered it couldn't resist becoming Babylonian themselves.
Dan sits down with historian Lloyd Llewellyn-Jones, author of 'Babylon: The Mother of All Cities', to hear all about this ancient superpower.

I have had the pleasure of seeing him several times on Tristan Hughes’ podcast, The Ancients, and I have always marveled at his depth of knowledge and the remarkable ease with which he brings the ancient world to life. His enthusiasm, clarity, and storytelling make even the distant past feel remarkably vivid and accessible. Thank you Dan Snow for bringing the Professor to us.
Keep up the good work Dan Snow.
I do appreciate the Quantum Leap-like nature of this channel, bouncing around in time randomly and occasionally putting things right that we once got wrong. I especially appreciate it when I’m unexpectedly up this early and there’s a new episode.
Additional the Babylonians were not the originators of the Epic of Gilgamesh. It's like saying the Grimm Brothers are the originators of the Grimm Fairy Tales.
It's "Women of Assur and Kanesh, Texts from the Archives of the Assyrian merchants" by Cecile Michel
