This video has been here through the rebuild, the trade, the signing in Detroit, the homecoming OT winner, the cat reconnection, and finally the reunion... what a story this video has been able to see. Well made
Can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched this video and how much more credit it deserves. My favorite highlight video by far. Everything about it is absolutely perfect. The song and how the clips fit and flow is unreal and you did an amazing job. Had to come back and comment after his return. Favorite athlete to ever do it
This is video is insane… but when you see just how many of these plays have the Stanley Cup Playoffs logo on the ice is when you realize 88 is something special
I didn't come up with this I wish i membered who did. I took this from another you tube commenter:
Patrick Kane is quite simply the greatest clutch playoff force of nature in league history. To a degree almost no one fully appreciates.
In games 4-7 of the conference finals and Cup Final, Kane in 22 games has 15g/21a/36pts.
In games with a chance to clinch the 2nd round, Kane has 6g/2a/8pts in 6 games.
In games with a chance to clinch the conference finals, Kane has 3g/6a/9pts in 4 games.
In games with a chance to clinch the Stanley Cup, Kane has 2g/3a/5pts in 3 games.
Kane has 11 goals in 13 such games. For perspective, Crosby and Malkin combined have 11 goals in 50 such games.
Kane in the Stanley Cup Finals, just at 5v5, has 7/7/14 in 18 career games. 7 5v5 goals in 18 games; for perspective, Crosby, Malkin and Ovechkin combined have 5 5v5 goals in 55 career Finals games.
Kane is the only player in NHL history with OT goals to win the 2nd round, conference final, and Stanley Cup Final. He has 2 other OT playoff goals, one of which was an all time solo highlight play to prevent elimination.
Kane's teams are 16-1 in game 6 in his career.
Kane's first 2 career hat tricks were in series clinching playoff wins against HoF goalies.
Kane's only career short-handed goal was in the closing seconds to tie game 5 of a 2-2 series in a year his team went on to win the Cup.
Kane was in on the key plays of all 3 Cup clinchers for his team - OT winner in 2010, solo zone entry through entire Boston defense + board battle to set up tying goal in 2013, primary to Keith for GWG + putaway goal in 2015.
In the 2010 Gold medal game, Kane forced OT after his seriously overmatched Team USA was down 2-0 in the 3rd, with 2 assists. In between the assists, he had an all time backcheck to save the game, chasing down Sidney Crosby on a breakaway. He was the most clutch and most dangerous player on the ice for either team late in that game.
Kane in the Blackhawks 5 long playoff runs had 38 goals at 5v5 in 103 games. No one else on his team was even close to this. One other guy had more than 16 (Patrick Sharp, with 24).
Kane's playoff 5v5 goals, best 5 years: 9, 8, 7, 7, 7. If any player post-lockout (let alone just of Kane's dead puck generation) beat this top 5, I haven't found him yet.
Kane had 40 even strength goals in his first 116 playoff games; Mario Lemieux for his career had 40 even strength goals in 107 playoff games, for some perspective. Kane did all this in a DEAD PUCK ERA.
Kane is one of 2 players in NHL history w 3 Cups, Hart, Ross, Smythe, Calder, Lindsay.
Kane is the youngest #1 pick to ever win the Cup.
Kane led the 2010s in points, 2nd in playoff points.
Kane has 2 of the 7 20+ game point streaks of the last 30 years, including the longest.
Kane has the 3rd longest assist streak ever.
Kane is 15th all time in adjusted points, 7th all time in 20 goal seasons.
Kane for his career has not been a power play merchant, quite the opposite. Guys like Stamkos and Malkin are way ahead of him in power play goals, but Kane leads them in even strength goals.
Kane is currently the all-time leader for US-born players in even strength points, with 896. 2nd best is Mike Modano with 832. Kane finished the 22-23 season tied with Modano for 1st all time. Kane at that time had 832 points in 1180 games; Modano had 832 in 1499 games.
Kane at age 18: 20 games played, 7g/15a/22pts
Kane had a 4 point game at 18, a 5 point game at 36. If you check the last 5 point games for guys like Crosby, Malkin and Ovi (Kane's contemporaries) you will find they were all years and years ago; Kane has several 5 point games since any of them had their last one
He is one of the greatest players of all time when he cares. There is literally no player I would rather have on my team in a big series or a big game or a big moment. He WAS the Blackhawks dynasty to a degree few appreciate.
A guy like Malkin is not in his class of player or even close. Malkin with his 1 5v5 goal in 25 Finals games. Malkin with his 38 even strength goals in 177 playoff games (Kane, again, had 40 even strength goals in his first 116).
Uniquely special player and career. Gretzky went out of his way to describe Kane as generational a year or two ago on TV, in telling a story about him. Seemed to tell the story in order to get the compliment in. Gretzky also started the standing ovation for Kane in the celebrity box on Chelios night when Chelios mentioned him. Great knows great.
