lakers fan here and one thing i noticed that is different then these past years is that we looked competent last night in a preseason game even tho it was the KINGS the lakers have never looked solid in the preseason for years😂 so im happy its a start

Lakers are finally a roster almost completely composed of players who are able to play the way JJ has wanted to, since he first flirted with being a head coach.

Not as many big names as the average lay fan might want, but a great assembly of smart, young players who can be arranged flexibly, for different gameplans/opponents.

A much deeper team of guys who can almost all shoot, pass, and put the ball on the floor. And a deep array of good and even some GREAT on-ball defenders.

They’re gonna completely flip their 3fg ranking for BOTH volume and percentage.

JJ can fk around and win COTY if they win 55games.

I dont think people understand how Grimes, Thybulle, Williams, Sexton, Adou, even Bronny, getting in those passing lanes and driving lanes is going to help Walker Kessler rim defend. Disrupting dribble drives and then running into Walker Kessler is going to alter a ton of shots. This team is going to be very good.

The “defensive concerns” for the 76ers are so overstated they definitely have the ingredients for a very credible defense. It wouldn’t surprise me if they end up being a top 8-10 defense. But we’ll revisit at a later date.

ant's been using preseason to work on some specific things and has tunnel vision when he wants to do that. no problem. regular season is gonna be fine.

The 76ers had two starters play, and it's a preseason game so I'm not concerned as of yet about their defensive showing. They also were missing Simons and Barlow off the bench. The Knicks played all their starters for a half and were still held to under 100 points, so I didn't think the 76ers d wss bad.

Looney played very good for the Lakers. Solid rebounding. Solid screening. That is EXACTLY what the Lakers need from a backup. The Lakers have enough scorers. They need glue pieces and Looney is one of them. I still wouldn't mind getting Gafford from Dallas somehow though. Kessler, Looney, and Gafford would be an unreal center lineup.

Appreciate how you educate us by breaking down plays to coaching nuts & bolts. Acuff and Cameron Carr were impressive rookies.

Hi Jason, it makes sense for the Bucks to play guys like Kuzma, Herro, and Jaquez because ideally the Bucks will try to trade them at the deadline for any picks they can get. If they are rotting on the bench then they won't get as much in return

Interesting that he blasts Ant's playmaking (which actually was decent in the game, some lobs thrown, etc.) only to then cover later how a non-Lamelo group led by Ant blew the game open. Almost as if two way hyper athletic scoring wings can find success in the NBA...

Going to be on that ass all season! Kuminga allstar season coming!

Mamu last night showed exactly why the lakers gave him the money over rui. I think mamu played better than rui last night. He will be more efficient in the next coming games but he got everyone involved last night and he generated as many points as rui scored.

Acuff looked very comfortable I hope sac trades away theirs vets & go full youth movement

Lakers/Kings take up almost half the pod, Wolves/Bucks starts at 19min into the cast, Sixer/Knicks starts at 28:55 and ends roughly 20s before the cutoff.

So ~15min for Lakers (ad time makes up the difference), and sub 10min for the rest; I think this is why you get labeled a Lakers homer, which is true, but you also know more about that specific team so you have extra things to talk about which draws out the coverage
