Martina Hingis is still one of my favourite players of all time. She was one of the most graceful, intelligent, multi-faceted and skilled players in women's tennis! Such a joy to watch her play.

The reason why I stated watching tennis was Martina Hingis. Retired so early but Still love her till this day.

She is still probably my favorite player. I liked her creativity and the unusual geometry she created with her shots. She must have been a nightmare to play against.

I started watching tennis because of Martina Hingis. I remember her winning almost all her matches so I never forgot how she played so hard against the Williams sisters. They were so much fun to watch. When Kim Clijsters beat Martina for the first time, I was shocked because she was virtually unknown at the time.

I agree 100% with Hingis. During their era, women's tennis was more exciting because of the varieties of play. Today's tennis is all about power and no tactical play. But talking of Tennis IQ,  new comers like Eala has it.  Despite her weak serve, she's winning because she make her opponent off balance with her shot variations.

What she achieved at her young age, and frankly her size is remarkable and a testament to her skill and tennis IQ. Top 3 in those categories ever imo.

What Kim and Martina said about powerful heaters in serve and return is to break their rhythm ...if they know you're a baseline player which your opponent knows it or studied your games then you have to change your play from time to time like attacking the net or making a volley....

The players now should listen to  this precious talks with Clijsters and Hingis. Their inputs are valuable especially those who are just starting in pro tennis.

I still miss Martina on the tour. I remember waking up early as a teenager to watch the women's Australian Open Final between Hingis and Pierce, and having never seen Hingis before and being so impressed how a 16 year old was able to dominate. I rewatched this match a few years ago, and some other major matches Hingis played in her first run on the tour including a match against Kim. Still so much fun, and I'll never get tired of the nostalgia to see legends like Martina, Kim, Steffi, Monica etc. play their best tennis.

That is exactly how my coach structured our training sessions.

I am unable to forget the first time I saw Martina in person, at Roland Garros.  What I cannot forget is her serve.  It was EXACTLY the same every time.  I cannot speak to its technical excellence, but it was the most lyrically delicate and beautiful serve I have ever seen, in all the years since.  Her left hand would lead her slim left arm up in the air and her fingers about the ball would open up so elegantly like petals on a flower released the ball.  The first time I saw her serve I saw that and was just...amazed.  I am a beauty lover, a man of arts and letters, and...that serve was beauty in action.  I sat through the match just waiting to watch that serve again and again and again and again.  I think I could do that all over again now, decades later.  I will never forget it.  The most gracious and lovely serve I've ever seen.  No other even comes close.  And I think her whole way of tennis reflected that spirit, but it was most crystalized and clear in that serve.

I love Hingis and Kim during your generation !! I am watching from Montreal, Quebec , Canada. More power your program.

I love how Martina Hingis pointed out that there's more depth in tennis than in previous decades. I don't know why  some many people struggle to accept that .

Thanks Martina. There were power players when she played and she pointed some out. People talk as though today is something that is that incredulous in terms of power.

When i started to watch tennis, I used to dislike Hingis. As older I get, the more I appreciate her game. And nowadays my favorite player is Muchova 🥰😅
