My son speaks Chinese and he said it says, "Made in the Qianlong Dynasty " which is 1736 - 1795 . Loving your videos Si 😊

That Queen Victoria bust is abosolutely stunning! So glad you found and rescued her from the mud! It's spectacular!

Now, go find a Prince Albert bust to keep her company!😉 Mudcat Daisy said she's shocked that they didn't use your interview on Antiques Road show, a Bronze bust made to celebrate Queen Victoria's Jubilee, then lost in the Thames is🐾"pawsitively" the MOST interesting story ever!😸👸🐾

@badapple65 3 years ago

The fact you found the bust whilst mud larking is a much better story than “My dad bought it years ago don’t know when or where” like so many other Roadshow items they feature.

Wow, that bust of the Queen is absolutely amazing!!!! Don’t get rid of that!

Sept 2022: one Queen lost 🥺💔
Oct 2022: one Queen found 😊
CONGRATULATIONS Si! She's beautiful , and nobody deserves her more than you do. 👑 I'm so glad YOU found her. ❤🇬🇧💙.

Edit: Speaking of Queens, Daisy is looking pretty regal herself. I love her markings! 🐈

if they ever clean the river it's crazy what they'll find

The metal stick that Jules found is a nut pick. It comes in a set of four with a nut cracker. I have some just like it. I use them to crack and pick crab and lobster shells also. That may explain why you found it by the shore.

Hi there! Jeweler here. 😊Love your videos btw! They make me itch to go out and find treasures.
Just figured I’d mention that ultrasonics are more for loosening dirt, compound, muck, grease, etc from cracks and crevices. They’re not for loosening corrosion or tarnish. 😊
Which I realize you are finding/have found out!
Cheers! ✌🏼🌀❤️

Congratulations on the Queen Victoria bust! I can’t get over it. So cool to see you at the Antiques Roadshow, as well. With the gold find, you had a very good day, didn’t you? So happy for you.

At 11:04 in your vid, the bit of ceramic is Chinese and looks to be pre-1912 (Qing Dynasty) as the Chinese characters are written right to left. Litterally: Gold, Jade, Full, Hall. “May your great hall be filled with treasure.” How appropriate. Probably the base of a good luck deity figurine like “god of wealth, etc…”
