This drill brings together several attacking ball security elements we worked on earlier in this practice.  Catch, ball transition, level change, strong carry, clean placement, speed of support, clean out, and seal rucker position.  The defensive roles can be emphasized and focused on more depending on your team's needs.

The attacking team's three players present three different options for ball carriers.  The scrumhalf decides who the pass goes to and makes the pass, alternating sides each rep.  The other two attacking players transition to clean out and seal rucker, with a focus on speed of support, level change, and effectiveness at the ruck.

Defense is padded and looks to apply pressure on the pass, carry, and at the ruck.

This drill can be done without pads, for multiple phases in succession, and with more player numbers as desired.

Thanks to Milwaukee Scylla Women's Rugby for a great practice!
