15-1, #2 scoring offense, #1 scoring defense, outscored their playoff opponents 82-26 (27.3-8.67), and completely shut down the #1 Dolphins offense with Dan Marino, holding them to 16 points, and none in the 2nd half,  with all 4 members of the secondary going to the pro bowl, a top 5 team of all time no doubt

May Russ Francis rest in peace in the great football field in the sky.

RIP #81😞

Joes the best ever i remeber the 84 49ers i was and am a steeler fan always

Best team EVER!!

22:48 as it turns out, the night before this game, Bill Walsh is in his hotel room watching the local news and he catches highlights of Texas Southern-Mississippi Valley State and one particular wide receiver from Mississippi Valley State caught his eye. He later drafted this receiver and that player went on to be the best in the game.

His name? Jerry Rice.

Just one HORRENDOUS ref call away from shutting up the '72 Fins eternal bragging!

The best of the 5 SB teams, and they didn't even have Jerry Rice yet!

dat Superbowl run started with me and my brother crying some emotions after the 1983 championship game 😢

This was the best team in pro football history. Period.

Number 1

BILL WALSH TURNED THE 49ERS INTO WINNERS JOE MONTANA WILL ALWAYS BE MY 🐐 MY TEAM ALWAYS AND FOREVER R.I.P 🙏🕊⚘️COACH BILL WALSH

27:05  2023  4th and 4   throw it to Kittle   in OT to pick up that 1st down in the superbowl.. . should of been on the call sheet Kyle.

I met bubba Paris and asked him and he said without any doubt that 1984 team was the best ever

Thinking your local press wants you to lose is crazy. Most of them are fans.🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

To Bill’s credit Dress to Kill  IS a weird movie.

People talk about the 72 Dolphins easy schedule. Look at the 84 49ers and THEIR schedule. I mean, half of their wins came against teams with .500 or worse records
