Why on earth such a project in a DESERT in the first place, the Palm build on sand, SAND! The looks are magnificent, I have to admit that., but only that. Because on the long run the maintenamce becomes too costly,. The companies that constructed things are maybe gone, the knowledge also disaspeared. That's a risk at one point in the future. All mechanical sysems and engineering maybe suberb, but are also fragile (no room for errors or failure).The need for water way too high and also at what costs and environmental damage. Not even considering changes in climate. Then about half of the year the environment is too hostile for humans to stay outside. It looks lifeless and it has no soul. It's only a wet dream from a sjeik to put Dubai on the worldmap imo.
There is incredible surplus. Whether it goes to an Emir or to a billionaire in the 6ig 6eautiful 6ill this is the type of incredibly wasteful project it goes to. In the West it goes into underground Bunkers and 6ig 6rother data centers or Bill Gates vaccines all we get is cricket flour 😮
