In November 2023, former Kazakhstan Minister Kuandyk Bishimbayev was arrested after the death of his wife, 31-year-old astrologer Saltanat Nukenova. He claimed it was an accident. Investigators recovered surveillance footage he tried to delete—revealing eight hours of evidence that contradicted his story. This documentary examines the forensic investigation, digital evidence recovery, public trial, and the legal reforms triggered by this case. Through behavioral analysis and investigative detail, we explore how patterns of coercive control escalate and how one family's demand for transparency changed a nation's laws.
