I think Latvians aren`t the only ones, but some of the population prefers to eat potatoes having a bite of bread with it. And we gather remaining sauce with bread to leave the plate clean. So you putting the potatoes and minced meat on bread. You get the idea. Greetings from Latvia. Sveicieni no Latvijas! Priekā!

Sveicieni! The irony of a British fellow trying out a Latvian field ration while relaxing by stunning Greek mountains wasn't lost on me, I mean it can't get more European than that! 😂

I also loved you flying our flag 🇱🇻 a bit, by the way 😊 a nice gesture. But I must say I can't help but note that the red of it is more Austrian than Latvian even if the 2:1:2 proportions are correct.

you can buy Kronis pre-made soups and canned stuff in local supermarkets here, so it's all mostly stuff you have access to as a civilian as well. pretty good if you don't have time to cook which is the target audience in this case.

That’s a great looking meal. I like the Latvian menus as well. I take coffee over tea though lol. We do agree on the wooden spoons, not a fan. That meal looked filling and hearty. Cheers my friend! Have a great weekend.
