I wish they'd give DS1 a proper remake, without a rushed 2nd half of the game and more fleshed out content

Those Chaos Eaters are so alien and weird compared to everything else in the game, they really make me think of something you'd see crawling around the surface of Mars in an old pulp story, like John Carter. There's a real, old-school sci-fi monster quality to them.

Artorias' cut dialogue always breaks my heart. He was a truly kind and honorable knight, destroyed and corrupted by a darkness he stood no chance against, an evil created by his own lord. He deserved so much better, and the chosen undead can at least mercifully let him rest.

I love the Chaos Eater. It immediatly struck my interest when first encountering it.
Similar terrifying are the pale female things in shallow waters in DS3. Long hair, pale, and hundreds of teeth on their body.

Dear god, I am so glad I bombed those freakish things to save Seigemieyer. I don’t care if he died of a existential crisis

I have been watching dark souls lore vids for almost 15 years now, and you got the good stuff! excellent video, please keep going!

when the crag spider spews its fire, you can see that it "opens its mouth" but its truly a burnt human-like head that lifts.

Never heard that cut dialogue of quelaag

If i were to be stuck in the horror movie of dark souls (and for some reason, capable of not dying to the first thing that comes at me) I would totally end up getting killed by Quelaag. For reasons.

can we have a moment of appreciation for fromsoft's willingness and ability to create some of the absolute most chopped women of all time

i didn't know the name for them when i first played the game so i called the Chaos Eaters "toilet monsters" owed to the fact that they effectively give you the world's most painful swirly if they catch you. they are kind of like garbage disposals or trash compactors too though lol. just take the junk and grind it up

22:27 great storytelling, got me sobbing in the club right now

This is very well put together!! Deserve more views!!

Chaos eater is the one enemy that creeps me out the most. While it's very easy to avoid or kill, but the image of being blended in its mouth with all those teeth, then whatever left of you getting spit back... is horrifying.

i love the character/enemy design in the dark souls series so much. the way the fantastical elements mix with with the genuine horror aspects is a sight to behold.
and i do mean HORROR. this series has some of the most disturbing and grotesque deisgns i have ever seen.

How does this only have 1.9k views? You guys are phenomenal

I’m glad that I’m not the only one who is utterly terrified of the chaos eaters

I loved the environmental details in the butchers room. You have the disposal chute behind them that leads down to a giant rat which has grown huge from the discarded remains.

You also have the 2nd butcher waiting in ambush above the food storage entrance that holds Laurentius. You can imagine they are both guarding against his escape as well as looking for more victims to add to the provisions.

Chaos eaters are my favorite enemy in the series, iconic. Great video though, this is some quality content!

god I love this game. I can play it over and over and I will never get tired of it.
