55 year old here…. I was achieved a ban back in 2012 for dangerous driving with the applicable 12 month ban from chester crown, 11 months later I applied to the dvla for a new provisional and they told me the court hadn’t informed them of the ban so couldn’t issue one so I could have carried on driving, fortunately in the end I did take another driving test and passed

Take a look at Your Taxi drivers licence issuing council. Wolverhampton springs to mind cause there is no practical test

Carl I have a dashcam … it’s there to protect me as I’ve had 3 serious accidents one being a child playing chicken on motorway another was a double fatal … dashcam footage from another motorist cleared me off all blame so I now have one

The trouble with driving laws nowadays is that the laws were designed for car with technology that was far less superior to what's available now. Cars can safely drive at and stop from a hundred miles an hour now better than a car used to be able to stop at seventy miles an hour. Cars are safer now than they have ever been yet speed limits in town are lower than they have ever been. Its dumb.

Not all traffic lights are created equal. There are traffic lights on roads with 40/50 speed limits and you get 2 seconds grace. You can't stop if driving at 50mph within 2 seconds. If you cross the line (even coming to a stop) you'll still get a ticket......
