SRAM Transmission groupsets shift really, really well. However from time to time something goes awry and the shifting performance isn’t quite so hot.

Tom has been riding Transmission for long enough now to know the tips and tricks required to keep it running smoothly.

In this video, he shows you the most common problem encountered when riding with SRAM Transmission groupsets, and how to fix it.

All you’ll need is an 8mm Allen key and the correct tool to loosen your rear axle.

Always been floppy jockey wheels for me. The bearings don’t seem to last more than 6 months…

And after you do all of this steps you will realize your electronic derailleur battery is deed and it still wont shift :D.

Awesome video, thank you! The fixes are applicable to the mechanical versions as well, re-setting the axle was the fix for me on Eagle 70 👍seems like we all need to re-learn derailleurs with transmission...

I did the bit at 3:00 but when I tighten the axle back into place the whole thing stiffens and everything is jammed, I cannot pedal . Any input?

It doesn't shift properly if the main bolt torque isn't correct. Approximating 35 Nm with a small multitool is quite the feat...

You pull the mech back to tension chain before tightening axle, not forward?

So my cage, the round part where the jockey wheels branch off from, rubs against my largest cog when I'm climbing steep hills. I can hear it rubbing. 2 mechanics have checked and couldn't sort it. Bike was set up after full service by the junior guy and the owner also had a look. Any thoughts?
