Thanks for this video summary. I do think that, in Pride and Prejudice, it is generally agreed that Elizabeth is prejudiced, while Darcy is prideful. I cringed a little when you assigned ALL the titular flaws to one character. But, again, great video.

My catalyst is that 10-year-old Camilla is chased into the woods by a bully, boy Tyler. They find themselves in the ice age, and they have to come together to survive .

The thing in my story is that Act 3 is 50% of my novel is that normal or something is wrong. Thank you for this great video

I have the Save the Cat writes a novel book, but some of the beats don't always work. I'm not saying that it's not good, but if it's too rigidly applied, you may find it frustrating. Not that I won't try it, but it has to have flexibility built in. One example of a story beat that might not fit, is the debate. In my middle-grade novel "Ice," the two children find themselves in a situation they wouldn't choose and didn't expect. There can be no choice whether or not to go on this adventure, so there can be no debate. They are in it, and they have to respond to it in the best way that they can.

My character has iron deficiency anemia and meds don't work. She is going to a military college in a dystopian life. She has the choice to or not but she wants to, because it gives her the chance to help clear her convicted father's name.

She is riddled with fear of failure but the fear of disappointing her father is greater.

The catalyst, even after her decision has been made, she still has the chance to change her mind and after she witnesses a candidate murdered at the gates, she almost bolts but step forward instead.
