Armie Hammer is now no stranger to controversy. With the leak of a number of contentious private messages hitting the internet a few years ago, the media and internet has been ablaze with speculation and opinion. The messages portray the use of brutal s**ual language and implies that Hammer might have vorarephilia (commonly linked directly to cannibalism). Due to the release of the messages, Hammer’s career as an actor came crashing down. Now, after years away from the spotlight, after attending rehab and working as a concierge, Hammer is back and looking forward to clearing his name. Piers Morgan recently held an intense interview with him in which he asked hard hitting questions and pushed for real, uncomfortable answers. Many are left wondering who is lying, and who they should believe. This is my nonverbal and body language analysis of that interview.

You bring up such an important point. Just because someone doesn't hold eye contact doesn't mean they are lying

@tktalk6900 2 years ago

did his parents deliberately name him after a brand of bicarbonate of soda or did he choose that

I have adhd. I don’t maintain eye contact when I’m talking. It doesn’t mean I’m lying. Even my therapist accepts that I don’t maintain eye contact 75% of the time.
He’s also a private person. So to have to come forward and talk about a situation that he was in would be uncomfortable especially the topic.
Many that just lead vanilla lives. Sexchats with the right person on the same level as you can be seen as disgusting or disturbing to someone else.
It also sounds like she was the instigator. After watching the 3 part documentary on him, but then seeing the receipts brought forth that puts that woman as a liar and a stalker. I believe he’s innocent. He was a target of hers and he’s paying the price.

How much of this interview is Armie Hammer, “acting..” I guess that’s a common criticism when actors are being open/transparent regarding controversy within an interview.

I love everything about this setup even his shirt in this video. This Is a unique style that reflects you and the content for your audience. Keep it up! I'm sure we will see many changes throughout time and I'm excited for them!

Love how many times you used the word ‘hammered’ in your analysis! I’ve got to say, though, that I was pleasantly surprised to see that he did seem sincere and that his situation, as he explained it, is believable. Will be interested to see if he can make a comeback. Hugh Grant managed to!

I am not a fan of Piers Morgan, but I did appreciate that Mr. Morgan's interview style was blunt and direct. At this point the ex-girlfriend and Armie Hammer have both come to a reality that each can live with. Probably neither remembers it 100%. With no criminal conviction or active case against Armie Hammer along with the information that ex-wife considers him a friend and co-parent, he can probably re-enter the entertainment industry. He would be smart to start very slowly in very small roles or even consider behind the camera work such as writing or producing. If his fame and success return, maybe this time, he can get it right.

Pierce Morgan did a pretty good job and his interview here here asking some pretty tough questions.
But I feel with his lack of knowledge in the kink community and BDSM. He could’ve asked better questions.
Especially when it came to how he was practicing with consent and why he was playing intoxicated.

I think it was a really good interview. I'm glad there was follow up to this.

Can you please cover the JP Miller interview? It’s SO bizarre

@janefaceinthewind6260 1 year ago

The thing is, to regular folks who are maybe a little bit kinky but nothing more, this may seem shocking. But even extreme kink is just fantasy, and this is the difference. He said there were safe words. I don't see any problem with this situation if the sub used the safe words and he respected them as he says he did. I know about the kink world and people would be very surprised what fantasies seemingly normal people have. Sometimes there is a psychological reason for it, sometimes not, as he says. I think if someone thinks about suicide, this deserves compassion. He has been humiliated and exposed on an absolutely epic, monumental level. I think he deserves a second chance. AND I want him in more movies. He is a brilliant actor with fantastic screen presence.

I'd be pissed if I was screwing someone for 4 years and they were having a great time and then when I dumped them they said I raped them ending my life.
He lost everything not just a couple things everything.
Let's be clear broke people attract broke people they were both toxic and I don't think because you have breasts that you are the bigger victim.
She made the conscious choice to carry on this alleged four your affair which he says was 10 months.
It's about credibility he answered every question didn't dodge one of them The other woman has only talked through her lawyer or recorded. Make your own determination I've made mine

Do larger gestures sometimes mean more emphasis rather than more awareness/controlled? I'm not a body language analyst, but to me his headshakes while talking about BDSM come across as emphatic, large movements because he's trying to get across "No. You're wrong. No. You/the world does not understand. No. I wasn't hurting people. No." When I think about someone nodding really exaggeratedly (while being honest), it's often in times where they are really emphasizing something. Marriage proposal responses are a good example of the really exaggerated nod in earnest. The person saying 'yes' is not lying, but their body movement is VERY obvious and overt.
