If you are wondering why the "JesterBell" logo appears at times, that's due to copyright.

Margot has a very marketable face, she has the physical comedy and the accent, but she lacks Any eccentricity or natural sadness with the character, if Brittany Murphy was still alive, she would’ve been the perfect Harley Quinn

Because Harley is so connected to the Joker and her relationship with him is a huge part of her character, the fact that she was never paired with a good Joker makes her Harley a let-down for me. Prefer the animated version.

Same issues as Henry Cavill's Superman tbh, great actor, great casting, but the movies they were a part of never let the actors fully envelope the character

You actually opened my eyes to why I kind of was a Margot Robbie fan….it’s because I loved tank girl as a kid and she is basically doing a tank girl

I might have missed it in the comics somewhere, but how and when did Harley get Kung Fu master, Navy SEAL level combat training.

I was never that wowed by her Harley Quinn, I think almost anyone could play the character better.

I like how she went from a psychiatrist to a criminal that was an expert in hand to hand combat and a superior marksman weapons expert.

Margot Robbie's portrayal reminds me a lot of Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker. They understood the character well enough and if they had better material they would be beloved in the role.

Edit: I finished the video. She did not understand the character at all if she wanted to focus on Harley without the joker lol.

"Harley's character has become more and more hollow and directionless, revolving around aesthetic more than anything else"
Just like every other character and movie, really. We get the "pretty" visuals without any of the substance.

I think Samara Weaving would kill it as Harley. Just watch her in Mayhem, Ready or Not, and Guns Akimbo.

The ComiCon interview actually makes it sound like Robbie doesn't actually like Harley? I mean. . .she's cutting out huge parts of her story! Harley is a survivor, someone who made huge mistakes and got to a place where she could move on from them? At least, that's what I always thought. The fact that she's silly too is just sort of a plus. . .

If brittany murphy was still with us she would have been great for Nolans/bale batman

the fact that we have 3 different versions of harley queen played by the same actress is crazy to me, call me crazy but even the new harley from isekai suicide squad is leagues better that margot's harley

To this day, I still don't understand why Poison Ivy was never brought into the DCEU with Harley. Gotham Sirens (messy as those comics are) was clearly the better choice but I wonder if it was another aspect Margot didn't want to deal with--hard to be the center of the show when you're sharing the stage with icons like Ivy and Catwoman.

I think Harley works better when she's not insane. She's in love with Joker because she's the only person who knows HE'S not insane. He has a ton of personality disorders, but everything he does is calculated and meticulously planned. They started out using each other, with her using him to get more famous from writing a book on him or something and him trying to manipulate her to set him free.

She’s a good Barbie of Harley Quinn.

Part of the problem is that many people want to separate the joker from Harley despite the fact that joker will always be a part of the character. Just like how the event of losing his parents as a child will always be a part of Bruce Wayne and how Peter Parker is doomed to eternally suffer.

Hearing Margot didn’t like the original direction of Harley makes Barbie make a lot more sense now….cuz her version of Barbie or “stereotypical Barbie” wherever that means, was in control writing and direction wise and with Greta working with each other closely on the characters, Margot got what she wanted out of it….instead of an actual character who has an arc for audiences to connect with, she fails to realize it’s not the actors job to understand the characters they play, they can tweak it but understand the original place for the vision as long as it goes somewhere the audience can make sense of

Seems that controlling thing of hers started with Harley and over corrected for “feminism”reasons

I completely agree with all your points.
