You just gave me a lot of motivation as today is my first day on Kbm and I can already crank 90s from your motivation thank you❤

Hey please any one else solve my problem I have very crucial problem I started playing Fortnite in early 2025 after watching a friend who was a very skilled, fast-paced player. Initially, I started with Battle Royale, but I struggled a lot. The pacing felt too slow for a beginner; I would spend 10 to 15 minutes looting, only to run into a good player and get eliminated instantly. Feeling like I was wasting time and not progressing, I decided to switch entirely to Creative mode (specifically 1v1s) to improve my mechanics before going back to Battle Royale.
The Root of My Bad Habits
When I jumped into Creative 1v1s, the opponents were way too advanced for me. I couldn't even place a build before getting boxed and eliminated. To counter this, I learned how to crank 90s. As soon as I saw an opponent, my immediate reaction was to blindly crank 90s as fast as possible to get high ground.
Over the last year, this developed into a severe, undisciplined habit. I essentially play "blind." I crank 90s without any awareness of where my opponent actually is. Even if I do track them, I lack the mechanical control to execute what I want to do. I just panic-build.
My Current Gameplay Issues
Panic Building: I rely entirely on cranking up. If someone pushes me, my brain shuts off, and I just build vertically without any strategy.
Playing Too Passively: Because my mechanics fall apart in actual fights, I end up sitting in a box, doing nothing, just waiting for the opponent to make an edit so I can try to shoot them. I am completely reactive, not proactive.
Editing & Spamming: My editing is a mess. I don't have smooth timing. When I try to edit or reset, I just aggressively and endlessly spam my edit key and my Right-Click (Reset) without stopping until the edit finally goes through. It's incredibly inconsistent.
No Solo Progression: I practice free-building alone in private Creative islands, but it’s not translating to real fights. When I go into public matches, the panic returns, and I get completely shut down.
My Current Binds & Setup
For context, here is how my mouse and keyboard setup is currently mapped:
Builds: Q, C, V, and Left Shift. (I struggle with WASD movement control while building).
Weapons: * Gun 1 (Shotgun): Scroll Wheel Up (I keep my middle finger resting on the scroll wheel and my index finger on Left Click).
Gun 2 (SMG/AR): Mouse Side Button 1 (Thumb).
Gun 3 (Sniper/Utility): Mouse Side Button 2 (Thumb).
Guns 4 & 5: Keyboard numbers 1 and 2.
Other: Right Click is for ADS (Scope) and Resetting Edits.
What I Need From You
I feel like my progression is completely stuck, and my history is just repeating itself every time I load into a game. I need a complete "detox" and a structured, step-by-step progression plan.
Specifically, I am looking for a routine that will help me:
Stop panic-building and unlearn the habit of mindless 90s.
Develop proper piece control and game sense (knowing what to build and when to build it).
Clean up my editing timing so I stop spamming my mouse buttons.
Build confidence in face-to-face engagements (like box fights) so I can actually translate my practice into public matches.
Let me know what our first steps should be to start fixing this!
