Our day ends in a parkup that has everything going for bar one thing that means we can’t stop do an Aire at Isigny-sur-mer comes to the rescue. But winding back to the start of the day it’s time to move on from our coastal parking the east side of the Cherbourg Peninsula, however first I discover a very picturesque chapel with some interesting history. Utah beach provides the setting for lunch although peaceful today in 1944 the allies were landing in force. Dick Winter who was a highly decorated soldier slso portrayed as the lead figure in Band of Brothers is remembered.
My names Stew and with Harry the Ford Custom AutoCamper Campervan I will take you on my version of vanlife. If you are planning a winter trip, wanting to discover more about offgrid / wild camping in a campervan or motorhome then consider following this series as we share our adventures in Frnce and this time our end destanation is the Loire Valley but first the Cherbourg Peninsula.

Eughhhh! The flies at the park up! Shame. Looked a nice spot!
Cheers
Ju😊
Shame, it looked like a good park-up. Mind you, where you ended up looked better. 👍🐸
We would love to go to Guernsey to do the war history but campervans are only allowed if staying on sites. Thanks Stew.
