That's how you know 40k is the worst fictional universe to live in. Even in M42, Erebus is still alive.

The black crusades, or how Abaddon tricked the galaxy into thinking he lost.

You gotta imagine how terrifying the lead up to the 13th Black Crusade was for the average cadian. Like first it’s just reports that the traitor forces are mobilizing.

Then swaths of Cadia are driven mad by visions of Abaddon leading the army.

Then Cadian High Command gets assassinated and most regiments pulled back to Cadia taken by surprise by an entire regiment that turned traitor.

THEN the Black Crusade shows up proper and it’s pretty much every single traitor in the galaxy bearing down on Cadia.

Say what you will about Abaddon but he knows how to make an entrance.

Abaddon is really into prophecies when you think about. Even more than the Eldar.

In the novel about Logar when he and the word bearers land on Cadia, it is more or less said that the fall of cadia was set in stone as all of this was the great 4s planing. Abbadon can think he's in control and doing things of his own will but in reality he's just a puppet on autopilot like Horus before him. Also with the black stone fortress, the pilot at it's center was the daughter of Abbadon or at least that's what she believed and from the way the fall of cadia novel is written, it's like Abbadon felt love for her as a father does their child but he has to keep up the act as the big bad so he openly denied her love. It felt Abbadon wanted to cry while the rest of the black legion celebrated the opening of the rift.

The Planet Broke Before The Guard.
CADIA STANDS

No-one talks to Abaddon when a new movie comes out in the Warp, because he's a de-spoiler.

The 13 Black Crusades of Abaddon the Despoiler

According to the Imperium : Haha! Abaddon keeps attacking and we push him ba... Holy Shit! He just blew up Cadia!

What really happened : Let's throw some shit at the wall to see what works, but we gotta destroy lots of those pylons before we attack Cadia. The Imperium will never see it coming.

I remember many times where Abby the Soiler came to battle my boiz, usually missing at least one arm.

Goffs, Goths, or Gotts?

Also, kept seeing your shorts (and love em, keep doing what ya can, and sacrifice the Nergling to cure the illness, should help...or get ya hit with more), and started watching your backlog.

It’s like herding cats

an amazing video and really apreciate it. I think such basic explanation of the 13th Black Crusades is quite needed. Would love to see someone one day do an indeph video on the 13th Black Crusade it self, since it involved multiple systems with multiple focused conflicts... buuuuuuut I know this isn't channel for something that in deph. again, wonderful video, great job with it and the research on it

It didn't help that for a long time the only area most of the previous crusades got any detail and were listed together was in a limited edition book from like 2003.

Rofl Chaos Mormons, which talk about how smart their chaos god is. XD
A little fun jab at Magnus the Red's forces. >.>

I can see GW resetting 40k like they did with Fantasy. Its one of the reasons I believe that they are going forward in time and bringing back the Primarchs, as well as the failing Golden Thrown and the Emporor getting involved more. They are also actually finishing off stories and letting Chaos win in Arcs of Oman. I know this would be crazy since they're making so much money off this current setting.

Would you be willing to do a video on Imperium Secundus?

Underrated 40k lore channel love the humor both short and long form

What was that ritual that he completed that "won't become apparent until the 13th Black Crusade," as this video said?

I swear for decades I thought Toad was yelling "Nappa!" but then again I was HUGE into DBZ when this came out.
