"All men when they get to a certain age go for younger women"
Is Jelly's mom aware that her daughter is a part of Hag Connect?

Jelly's mom telling her men are all cheating dogs that always go for younger women sounds like sabotaging behaviour. It just sounds hollow when she's got a faithful husband of her own.

If the only thing you're bringing to the relationship is good looks and your youth then don't be surprised if a man leaves you for a younger and more beautiful woman. I think that's more accurate than what her mom is saying.

3:15 No, jerry. Men like to feel needed and useful. Not be treated like living ATMs. If that was a fulfilling relationship then everyone would love the government and taxes lol.
Edit: Also jesus, sounds like her mom has some trauma from past relationships. I guess I kinda can't blame her, I had some pretty negative thoughts about relationships for a while after I had some really bad ones. But I eventually got over it and it's weird to me that she hasn't. Especially since she's married and has a kid.

Mom is setting her daughter up for disaster this isn't helping her by planting seeds of doubt. If a guy loves you he'll see you as the same girl he fell for the entire time if you keep the relationship strong.

3:15 we took a left turn riiiiight there. Theres a difference between "being relied on" and "extra bank account"

Being relied on is more something I can help with, e.g the bait of being asked to get something from the top shelf

5:58 That sounds like mom pov blaming that for why things went wrong. In reality it could have been a bunch of other things and that was an end result

It's nice to be relied on, to feel important and most of all trusted. It makes you feel good about yourself. Still a certain level of independence is important for a healthy relationship. Also it goes both ways, it's about mutual support.

I wouldn't want a gf/wife that's constantly asking for superficial, materialistic stuff because she can't afford them herself. That's not my purpose in life.

One thing is caring about someone so much that you like providing for them on what's really needed, but they demanding random gifts and such? That's entirely different. And for the former there always has to be some kind of reciprocity (not necessarily monetary), it's not inconditional, otherwise the caring about washes away.

Your mom is grimmaxing indeed

Be sweet, supportive, and loyal. That's it. You're independence means nothing.

I think what's the most important for a relationship to last is for both the man and the woman to show interest in each other by making an effort to maintain the relationship, and to be able to make compromises if needed. Men like to be relied on. But it shouldn't be one-sided.

Men generally want to know they're needed. It's good to not need him for *everything*, obviously, the goal is to be a partner not a dependant, but leaving certain things for him to do for you is important. To quote ShoeonHead, "I don't care if you can do it yourself, let him open the jar."

Oh she's like this because of her MOM? I see...

I would hate a woman constantly asking me to buy stuff. Instead I would want her to ask me to do physical stuff like yard work or try to fix something. I would want to rely on a woman for being nice to me, hug me, and raise our kids with love. Cooking and cleaning would be nice but I guess we can trade days for that type of stuff

the only person who says they don't need money or want money, is the one who already have enough money
they are not necessary rich, but good enough to live

+ i just remembered that there are two faced hypocrites that they actually want money, but they want to look good and above others, so they say/pretend they don't want money

but at the moment of opportunity, they will take money faster than many other people

I would love to be in a toxic relationship with jelly Where she takes all my money (joke)

Bring us the jars and ask us for things from the top shelf. Learn to cook. It is universally one of the most attractive skills. Appreciate the effort a man puts in.
There you go, you're already doing better than 50% of women. Throw in taking care of yourself and you're doing better than 85% of the population.

I mean it's always feels nice to make a person you love happy, so i guess she's not wrong

Must've played sleeping dogs

sounds like Jelly's mom is sabotaging her daughter's future and outlook in life
