All of these men were drinking and or trusted people they didn’t know. If they were in America, would these guys meet a woman at a bar and bring her back to their home that same night? So the real question is: Why would they go to a foreign country and put themselves in that situation?

I travel since 17 years to Colombia  Why i am still alive? Because i KEPT AWAY from any woman there.    I do my business there and thats it.

Don't go to a foreign country flashing money and trying to hook up with strangers. It's simple, be wise.

I was told from a few females friends from Colombia that you should even watch what you drink from street vendors Not just bars

I was planning to visit Colombia but I changed my mind once these stories started coming out. They are much safer places to travel and still have a good time.

I go to Colombia every year, to visit my wife's family, and one thing i can say, if you look for trouble you will find it, if you dont look for trouble it will not find you. Prostitution in Colombia is highly connected to organized crime or to street gangs.

Common factor: Each of the victims was (most likely)  interacting with sex workers/pursuing easy sex or seeking illegal drugs when he was victimized. Avoid sex workers/easy pickups and illegal drugs and you will dramatically reduce your risk of being a crime victim.

Been to Colombia 7 times. Never had an incident other than a friend getting pick pocketed ( always keep your money in a satchel ). The locals are cool and all hotels and Airbnb have security guards who do not let anyone in without a valid ID..they don't play that. Also there are a lot of cops visible and most people ain't trying to go to jail. Don't wear no jewelry expensive clothing expensive sneakers. Wear No name shorts, t shirt and flip flops and you will be fine. Try to look as poor as possible Also stick to the tourists area.

Lesson to learn: don't be a passport bro and respect women.

These men aren’t innocent victims. If you go to another country to engage in immorality, trouble will find you. Even as an older man, I never went to a club in hope of finding a sexual partner for the night. A bad deed can’t produce a good outcome

A man's death is a tragedy. The death of a sex or drug tourist only a statistic.

Had a friend that lived in Medellin to work, and commited suicide. He never showed signs, for some reason he jumped out of his balcony , just had a kid so lots to look forward to . Very sketchy circumstances

Been to Bagota and Cartegena, Regardless of which ever part you visit you have to know how to move, Don't go around trusting anyone and everyone and most importantly learn the language even if its the basics, It just might save your life.

Don't go on holidays to Colombia! You will stay alive! Simple!

In case you didnt know , citizens in Medellin hate foreigners and love to see them getting drugged and robbed. They think that will stop them from visiting and since they blame forigners for their rising prices, they think its a good thing.
