Let's be real. The Metal Virus/Zombot Saga was the closest we'll get to PG-13 Sonic in any official media.

The opening bit is why I eventually moved on from the Sonic fandom because people were obsessed in correcting me that I wasn't allowed to enjoy Sonic content because "it was for kids". And I had enough of mocking about it.

2:23 nah ngl Shadow  getting infected was on himself. He could have easily delayed it uf he ran like Sonic but then was like "I don't run from a fight" and f'ed around and found out

Amy will make a great therapist

I still regard this as one of my best voice performances to date. Thanks again for having me on as the voice of Sonic!

This is my favorite type of Sonamy or just fan fiction in general. It doesn`t disregard the games or comics; it doesn't push the characters into a lovey dovey couple; it follows their relationship perfectly; AND IT GIVES SONIC SOME NORMAL ASS EMOTIONS! The art style looks just like the IDW crew and the Amy voice actress is my new Amy fancast for Sonic 4 lol. She would be amazing but I doubt they'll reach out to fans for the casting of the movies.

If you think about it, Dr. Starline didn’t bring Dr. Eggman back. He tried every hypnosis method he had and none of them worked. All it took for Mr. Tinker to snap out of it was the sight of a beaten-up Metal Sonic. Metal was released by Sonic and Tails just to give him a second chance. Could you imagine how Sonic would have felt if he had figured it out? The virus, Surge and Kit…it was all because of him. And Belle…all this time, she thought it was Starline who took her father away from her. But it was actually Sonic.

Funnily enough, Sonic was never for kids, or at least not directly, it was always teen aimed with the "too cool for school" attitude which is more appropriate to teens than kids, and yet still, is not as if kids were me brainless to not understand or enjoy deep topics, there's a reason beloved series like Invader Zim exists and still have a HUGE fandom till this day

And this is why Amy's greatest weapon is her voice 🫶

This is really good writing and Sonic actually has feelings for once. Poor everyone though, having to be affected and how it scared them to death. 😢

I miss when Sonic had emotions like this and was more than just a hero.

To be fair, it was actually repairing Metal Sonic, where Sonic messed up at. Even if Metal sonic doesn't help Eggman get his memories back, what's stopping an evil killer robot from continuing to only do what he was programmed to do? I know that's not helping, but I just want to put it out there.

Did you know Sonic does not see himself as a hero so he would most likely not feel a stressed out by his heroic antics? Sonic is the definition of “I do this for the vibes and if I’m not feelin it, I just won’t f*ing do it”
That isn’t even me making this up either that’s the entire point of Black Knight, he saves the day but says like 2-3 times in that game that he doesn’t really give a fuck if people doesn’t like how he does shit he just does this cus he wants to

Ironically Shadow is more of a hero by intentions than Sonic is
I guess what I’m saying is, someone would have to literally die before Sonic feels any form of guilt over anything.

2:16 nah the scream from shadow is actually crazy.....

I wish IDW had more emotional whiplash from that event. I think you did a wonderful job with this ❤

Wow... just wow. This hit so hard for me. Im currently going through, well, a lot right now to say the least, and unlike in sonic's case, the bad isn't over. And I constantly feel like its all my fault. But a friend of mine is actually helping me go through all of it mentally, and when I started apologizing almost exactly like what Sonic did here, she said to me an almost one-to-one with what Amy said here. Just, bravo man.

4:29 Really happy you used the term Mobians for Sonic and friends. It’s odd that still hasn’t been used in the actual games yet.

THIS IS THE SONAMY WE NEED MORE OF!!!

There's something so refreshing about seeing someone as laid-back, confident and wise-cracking as Sonic actually struggle and need to be comforted and confronted by someone else that's not him and himself.
We've rarely seen this side of him and it's always usually just  him helping other's as they're just his backup plan.
And the other characters like tails or shadow would be the ones going through arcs.
Sonic was always the dude with a tude but it wouldn't be bad if we got to see more of his other sides and times where even he can't boost through it and make cheesy jokes and bad puns.
Sonic wasn't meant to have character development but i think I'd be cool to atleast see where he comes from,y'know?
Just a thought over here :3

This is my new Headcannon now!
Sometimes hero's see the chaos,
but don't realize the peace they brought.
I'm glad Ames allowed Sonic to see that.
