There was a blatant forward pass before the English try near the end of the game.
The referee, linesman, TMO and ITV commentators had temporary blindness when the English forward pass was made.

Well played Scotland, absolutely superb and Finn Russell what a fantastic rugby player. This is how rugby should be played with joy and some attacking elan unlike Englands kick based game plan which is  so bloody boring!

3:15 - utterly genius from Scotland! Hardly surprising that the move was so sharp when you’ve got two scrum half’s in the back line (white and dobie) firing accurate balls to teammates outside them!👏👏

When Finn Russell plays well, Scotland play well. Great to see the team adopting the fast paced play that Glasgow have developed over the past few seasons. Then again, with ten Glasgow players in the starting fifteen, it’s not too surprising.

SCO played the way Glasgow play week in week out. Still baffled why they decided to kick everything away last week. Yes it was raining, but as they showed in that final three or four minutes, you can still play running rugby in the rain.

England definitely underestimated Scotland, but there was no way in hell that Scotland would play anywhere near as bad as they did against Italy last week. Scotland V England is one of the biggest rivalries in sports! Whether it's rugby union, football, field hockey, cricket...England v Scotland is a HUGE game, and fair play to Scotland, as they were up for it from the first kick, whilst England weren't.

I find it quite weird that an England postmortem gets so much time on the BBC.  If England had won we’d be seeing end,ess reruns of the highlights.

Hello Ashton! Whole England backline you picked in the combined XV was it?

Get it right up you!!! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Scotland did win the ariel battle and harassed tge breakdown,  but it comes from the threat of them finding space on the edge so accurately.  They get behind on the edge and move the back 3 around so when they go to the air England's back 3 are already out of shape and feeling stressed.  One threat compliments the other.  I think its like styles make fights.  Scotland play a way that is more effective against England than any other nation for some reason

I think it's more indicative of this level of rugby, you've got South Africa and New Zealand, then the rest. Maybe France will finally mix it in that group, but they'll never be considered part of that until they win a WC as they don't tour with a full strength team - though they are clear favourites for the 6N. But below that, Argentina, England, Ireland, Scotland, Australia, now Italy the past few years. If things click either team can win any of these games. Maybe Italy still needs to pick up a few wins away from home to be that threat.

Scotland just turned up, England didn't!!

Scotland played brilliantly, but England really messed that one up too. They should know how to play Scotlakd by now.

Rumpity pumping

From an England perspective one poor performance does not a bad team make well bounce back. Scotland were brilliant and had everything covered. So maintain that form against say France, that will be the game of the tournament if so. Otherwise just having one good game against England each year isn’t achieving anything.

Englands problem was reading to much into the thrashing of the worst welsh team in the history of the 5 and 6 nations , scotland are a dangerous team and can beat any  team on the day , they need to put a run of games together thats there problem.

Does Ashton still think England 9-15 is better than Scotland’s? 🤔

If you play Arundell's tackle back in slow-mo, it's very clear that there was a proper release and then got back on his feet. Text book.

Scotland held their discipline (for a change) - England didn't.  England down to 14 men for 30 minutes.   That's a big disadvantage for any team.

Scotland started strong, England have a man yellow carded for 15 mins, Scotland capitalised on extra man, England man then gets red carded and Scotland then find things easier playing against 14 men.  Nutshell.

Wales gifted England the game. This performance is an acquaintance with reality. France will be interesting. Forty pointer?
