Take one of Friedrich Nietzsche's most famous texts and one of Chuck Palahniuk's most famous novels, "Fight Club." #fibra #neffa #arcadeboyz

Fusion them together and you'll find the vibes of "Zarathustra Style," the joint album by Fabri Fibra and Neffa, closing a circle that began in 2002, when Neffa produced for Fibra an album destined to become a cult classic: "Turbe giovanili." From the German philosopher's celebrated work, "Thus Spoke Zarathustra," the two rappers revisit the prophetic, non-academic, and non-haughty approach: there's a desire, from atop the mountain of Italian rap history, to leave their mark and create "sacred bars" destined to shake things up. The flock on the cover is the rap audience, defaced by the words "Zarathustra Style," which represents rap in its most free and mocking form. “Zarathustra Style” is an album that doesn't follow the rules we've become accustomed to in recent years; it's an experimental album, consisting of 23 tracks, a dense block that doesn't care about lengths, lead singles, or hints. It's an album full of love for music, but also of confrontation.

And it's here that we hear echoes of "Fight Club," where the struggle with oneself and others provocatively becomes an opportunity to discover one's own strengths and limitations. It's an album, first and foremost, about confronting life. There are countless references to resisting the difficulties of life, with references to the world of boxing and beyond. In the title track, Fibra says it clearly, "life is a punch in the face," while Neffa in "Jay-Z" rolls up his sleeves and retorts: "You want to fight? We're ready." To quote Nietzsche again, "Zarathustra Style" is the story of a human being, balanced on a tightrope, suspended over the abyss. But the friction (God bless the return of friction in a rap album) isn't just with life. The album is imbued with a tense encounter-clash with the market, with industry, with today's muzzled rap.

And, of course, there's the most fascinating clash of all: the one between the two of them, between Fibra and Neffa. There are several songs in which the two rappers pass the flame of rhymes and bars back and forth, trying to prove to themselves and each other that they're the best. It's a stylish duel, full of interlocking connections. "Zarathustra Style" is an embrace between two visions, but also a short circuit between two giants. And that's its beauty. And luckily, there are no features to spoil the brawl: in the ring, they're enough. It's also an album where rap finally gets back into the game with beats, all of which are produced by Neffa. He tries to explore, discover new horizons, and explore less traveled paths with samples and various gems. It's not a comfortable record for the listener. It's a river of words. On the narrative front, it presents itself as mature: Fibra and Neffa don't hide personal struggles, they talk about resisting the sirens of the market, about the race to exist and endure first as men and then as artists. There are many references to '90s rap, of course, but there are also sounds that nod to today's rap, the more contemporary kind: "Zarathustra style" is rap suspended between various historical periods.
