dude i completely forgot about down ranking!!  I EFFING CANT WAIT OMG. I have been dying to play, but managed to hold off the beta so I can enjoy it in full when it releases.

Yes Im playing Forever coming back to wow after a LONG break.. Shadowlands broke me and i quit after playing sense TBC. Mad you were 1 of my favorite healer creators and im glad I get to watch your stuff again! I'm also rolling R shammy but leveling as ENC- well im %90 sure im going shammy lol.

Im playing Beta WOWF and I can tell you that... I'll never reinstall Retail again...

I think the dungeon grinding method needs to be equal to or around 90% of the speed of normal questing. This keeps dungeons meaningful if you want to level that way, but it always keeps it slightly inferior or equal to questing, so that people have a choice. I understand the worry about the open world, but we are not asking dungeons to be better, just to be viable to level too. Giving players the choice is key here, an equal choice.

I'm going disc priest in Forever.  I loved it in wrath and stopped playing it when they turned it into a dps healer.

They’re changing downranking, not getting rid of it. I think the main change in downranking was for damage spells and procs. Not necessarily to nerf healing downranking, but it did mention “lesser healing” on lower ranks.

Someone got all in their feelings yesterday in a comment because “they’re “getting” downranking”. A change is not necessarily “getting it”. It may end up being better. The dude knew every rank heal to spam for every healer because it’s been 20 years of doing the same thing. I personally welcome the change, and I’m looking forward to learning which ranks to use, and how to “min / max” my mana preservation.

The game is super easy, and if you’re looking for any type of “challenge”, not k owing everything is the only challenge you’re really going to have in a classic wow game.

If they were “gutting” downranking they would replace your lower rank spells with the new, and not let you use them.

PvP is the only reason to pick a race for racials. Human alliance, horde orc.

If you’re trying to “min max” it’s cool, and play your way, but you’re going to stress over the smallest things, and the things like “chase items” that will be on your “bis list” but you may not see for months or years. If you’re not in a speed running guild, I would suggest to just relax and have fun. Make the game last years, and not a couple months.

totally planning to play dwarf rsham

Im gonna play wow forever 100% as a druid. Im most likely never comming back to retail ever again

The thing is I hope they have idea on what to do with forever after they pinch it from turtle because as we all experienced from classic approach, it was amazing kappa and peak died after 3 weeks.

I think they shuld go and make all tiers from older raids work in retail so you can realy have options. Dont know how but would be cool .

We will have to see how everything meshes together after a couple months after release.

Tha economy will be an important aspect to watch along with the bott harvesters.

How the legacy poi t system affects your.builds, not just for damageor healing, but for over all performance of your trade skills.

I do wonder how many alts i will need to have.

I have found that new characters to level now, tend to be gold starved because low level matts prices have been decimated on the auction house.

Tried out the beta out of boredom or maybe it was the feeling of meaningless tasks in retail… haven’t logged in to retail since and I sure never will again. I’m having so much fun in wowf.

Hi Med, your videos are always top! Quick question: are you planning to release an addon pack for healers for WoW Forever?

I love tanking and healing. I plan to run a protection paladin, even as a dps. Take off Righteous Fury and my dps is higher than retribution wielding a 2h weapon, or so it seems. For healing, I loved discipline priest, but we lost atonement so idk.

Tough call. I already know how bad the end game will suck and pretty much exclusively be raid logging, but I think I need a break from retails bullshit.

Welcome back to the alliance!

Downranking is a very clanky, very old mechanic.  They'd be better off giving healers a cheaper, weaker spell than leaning into downranking which... went away for a reason.

downranking - depends how they cook with things. I felt downranking was less relevant on druid because more buttons with different jobs. Paladin and Shaman though, even up until 30 it feels like a good argument of downranking to make tools for the toolbox.

dungeons and xp - think they still need to cook. I don't like that the first run feels mandatory and the second feels foolish. I don't think the xp needs to be the only reward worth chasing, but it's a problem if the absence of the XP makes the whole house of cards feel shaky. I'm the same though for levelling, willing to quest but dungeons are my happy place and a good place to usually mix it up, maybe get a piece of gear to feel more juiced and then back to the grind.

community - yeah...there's some good people in WoW I've enjoyed gaming with. There's also been some real idiots as well. A lot of the social media froth, honestly worth ignoring. It used to be that we said ignore the bottom half of the internet, but that was before it became the whole of the internet. Insert irony here of me in youtube comments obviously.

racials - yeah, would be nice for better balance and maybe a touch more choice. The latter feels inevitable. The former, hopefully...but agree it doesn't matter so much.

Also really hoping they get the horizontal progression or aspects of it right. I'm similarly tired of the not even seasonal hamster wheel. 12.1.5 lands in a few days and guild will expect me to get my 50 tokens done not quite immediately, but at some pace. Meanwhile the new boss represents 3/4 items I'll want for Hpal but it's kept to 1 per week to send them. With when WoW Forever lands I think there's a level of ambition there. We're one of the what feels like many late CE guilds that haven't imploded yet, but have circled the drains and scraped 20 more than once recently. There's a lot of us openly discussed this season not being fun, but it goes deeper.

Getting CE and 1% last season and playing up until the wire only to feel like it starts all over again immediately, but with worse content, did not feel good. I've enjoyed the beta and looking forward to release because it feels like realising that actually maybe what I want from a hobby is something involved but chill.

And since you asked - I'm kinda undecided on what to play. Forsaken Pally in pole position but I keep flip flopping! I played dwarf priest in vanilla and classic, but think twice is enough SWP and wand levelling and that bit is unchanged. Feels a shame because the new toys of penance and POM both look great. Druid is currently in my thoughts since I'm not too sure on Hpal and whilst I've actually enjoyed questing in ret and dungeons in prot I'm not sure I fancy the full role change.

I like your UI, seems based on Ellesmere, right? Do you have an export we can copy? 😊

Yeah not sure. Played beta to 10 and got so bored that I deleted the game. Will try it out again when it comes out. It could be good if you want to chill on the couch and play with a controller without having to pay much attention. My guess is that this game will get boring after a few months and then they will go down the path retail went on 10 years ago. Of course it’s great for streamers because most people have to watch a stream while playing this to not be bored
