Muchas gracias

Definitely always reject the bank's currency conversion at ATMs. Glad you included that tip! You'll save $$$$

Thank you for putting this out there is very meaningful.

Excellent advice. Muchas gracias!

I needed 3 cards one weekend in Miami. 1.)  My Citi Card was declined, when called, it turned down they were instituting new Main Frame computers in NYC HQ and their service was down all weekend. 2.) Second card declined because the network was getting attacked by Virus Attacks!  So, I always travel with 3 cards since then.

I appreciate the time you took to respond to my comment, unfortunately I couldn't read your full response as the original comment the other guy made seems to have been deleted. I meant no offense with my response and was just trying to shed light on why people have that perspective. I agree with you, what he said was outright rude and I don't blame you for taking the comment down. The type of content you make is really helpful and people like that guy should show more appreciation to people who are being as hospitable as you. What are Mexicans favorite things to do in Mexico City, less touristy stuff? And have you ever seen Mon Laferte live? I found her music a couple of years ago and fell in love, I know she used to live in Mexico City I can't help but think about seeing her if I was there. Thank you so much, best of luck with your channel!

Great tips!!

Having lived in Mexico City I agree with all of this advice.

I always have a backup wallet with dollars and pesos.  One ID and a credit and debit card just in case I lose my main wallet.

Most of these tips are general, common sense things that apply to any city in any country, especially touristy ones or tourist areas everywhere. It is amazing, however, how many people leave their common sense in the departure lounge when they're about to start their holiday. I arrived in DF as a solo 19 year old with zero Spanish many years ago, and had no problems at all - the only issue was I didn't know the currency had been devalued, so when someone told me the taxi cost 20 pesos, I was apologetic as I had some 10,000 notes - the driver thought I didn't have enough to pay him but 20,000 old was 20 new, so he thought I was trying to pay 50% of the fare! I also had a great 20th birthday in a great city...

so, the people are more relaxed in airports and lines, but when driving, look tf out!!!!

Peak traffic hours can often last until 9pm or even later sometimes. 7pm is right in the middle of it, not the end.

Algo bien!

Muchas gracias!!!🙏

Try to use apple pay or contactless payment more than your actual card. Apple pay is safer because you don't need to enter your pin in the terminal
