I think this is the third video since you came back to us. It's great to see you posting videos again. I'll never do what you are doing but I continue to pick up hints on general practices for working with thin metals that fits into my own hobby shop work. I also appreciate that doing the video work at the same time as the service work takes a LOT more focus than just doing the repair work. So a hearty THANK YOU for THAT! This is what You Tube postings are supposed to be about. Not the AI slop that has take over recently.
I’m sure I’ve said this before but I certainly appreciate when a professional demonstrates how it’s really supposed to be done and the results are spectacular. Patients is important.
These videos make me feel soothed for some reason. Maybe it's because I played various instruments in a younger time and have a special love for all musical instruments.
I have been a fan for years and I wish you would occasionally do a video with the ENTIRE process of working out those very difficult dents, so many times I am invested in seeing how you solve the problem and the vid skips that part, it's almost like seeing a pretty girl that smiles at me in a crowd, and then never seeing her again, lol.
So glad to have you back producing great videos like this one. You sir are a master at your trade. I truly enjoy watching you work out a solution to a bad situation.
Great job Wes. I graduated in 1975 from Grove Okla. High School. We had our 50-year class reunion last year. They gave us a tour of all the new facilities. I found it amazing what they have done with the little school I attended. As we talked about all the different departments, I asked if the band department knew about you. They did not seem to know about you. I am not sure if you are overloaded with work, if not give them a call. Hey, they might even need someone to teach a class. Enjoyed the video. Don
Back in the late 80's I worked at a large music store. (I was the stringed guy) Our WW & BW guy was an older guy from Italy. He referred to the trombone as a manually operated, wind driven pitch approximator!
Really beautiful horn here, and great repair as usual. Details like that funky valve just make it that much more special, beautiful inside and out. Thanks for sharing!
