I feel that when everything is special, nothing is special. 2-4 fragrances is the perfect amount for me to create that scent memory. I love when my kids say "that smells like you, mom" , they would never be able to make those connections if I owned a million fragrances. I think it's fine to try a bunch until you find 2 or 3 signature scents and then stop.

The extrait versions are also more expensive because the atomizers have to be specially made to evenly disperse the fragrance properly. They’re such a high concentration they won’t spray in a normal bottle.

The perfume in the thumbnail was next on my to buy list 🤨 I wear strong perfumes, 0 compliments. Then I put on Ariana Grande Thank you next and get tons of questions about what perfume I'm wearing. Mind you, I work in a mostly boys high school.

Maybe a video on "Frangrances for beginners" When do frangrances go bad? How do you store them to keep them longer? How do you store them, period? When do you apply them? Where do you apply them (in the bathroom, bedroom etc) Is there frangrance overload in the location you apply them, and if so how do you deal with clearing that out?
Questions along those lines.

Also on Fragrantica you can look at who the fragrance creator/s(nose) is/are. Many of them compete for the job of making a scent like a song writer may audition for different songwriting jobs. A songwriter may have worked on music for tv commercials , movies, cartoons, and for recording artists. A perfumer often may have a style or favored notes that work for you and your chemistry ( Sophie Grojman peach/rose Tresor, Exclamation, Paris, Sun moon stars) . A similar thing would be shopping an artist for art you enjoy for decor ( Rae Dunn, Picasso, Monet, Mondrian, Thomas Kincade).

Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille will forever be my favorite fall/winter scent!!! I am addicted!!! I want something to try mixing it with though for variation. I get compliments nonstop when I wear it. I have the Dossier version too and it’s actually not bad at all, very close dupe.

And I'm seconding and thirding the people who have commented that they'd like to see a perfume collection video by Marlena. I also miss her skincare videos. So if one of those are in the very near future that would be great.

I’m so glad you did this video. I don’t know a whole lot about fragrance and this really explains a lot. I have never thought about looking a fragrance and seeing what ingredients were in it. I guess that’s why I’m always just trying them at the counter to try and find one I like until they all end up smelling the same, even with sniffing coffee beans. And then I’ll end up with a fragrance I don’t like that much. I look forward to your future videos on this! 😊
