I like how this video is mostly the guy saying what we’re all thinking and just straight up critiquing the gameplay, more than anything else.

Former Ranger here... here's my two cents, after playing the original before I enlisted, and playing the remake after ETS. I'm just gonna respond to the comments on the video.

The tossing of the cigar was disrespectful, but to be fair, the jump master called him a panty waist.

I wasn't alive in the 60s... did they have square canopy chutes back then? In the game, he's the first person in history to do a HALO jump. I'd assume they used what they had, and square canopies were invented AFTER this, for exactly the reason stated- more manuverability. If we watch the video, Snake can't steer for shit and literally hits a branch, losing his buttpack in the process.

Back when this game first came out, I had just joined the army... i got chewed out for doing my camo like Snake (splitter camo). Yeah, i learned it was bullshit real quick.

A samurai master also said "Just kill the bad guy" no need to announce yourself.

The TYPE of Operative that Snake is, a type of One Man Army Infiltration Unit, that goes into the Battlefield with nothing but a pistol. Everything else he most acquired from the field itself, hence the name Naked Snake.

Weapons, Equipment, or Food, he must either steel from the enemy or craft himself.

my guess for why he doesn't kill them: when they find a guy sleeping on the job, they wake him up and then yell at him for sleeping on the job.
they find a guy dead AND his gun missing? yea the whole place is crawling with guys in ten minutes.

also the guy is specifically tasked with avoiding an international incident, if nobody is dead, there is plausible deniability for why he's there if discovered, not as bad as him being caught with the AK belonging to the guy they found dead half an hour ago.

To be fair mgs3 is in the 60s so the parachute makes sense unless I'm wrong

@BlazerK1914 10 months ago

I played and highly enjoyed Resident Evil 4 remake, and I never doubted of how good the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake would turn out.

Next up: Real child soldier plays MGS2

@B9NE 10 months ago

They chose the wrong person for gameplay but this is the tutorial the rest is way better especially the fight versus The End a sniper boss.

I recognize it's the exact same footage shown in the last MGS Delta react, and I get that it's maybe all you have to work with for the time being. I'm really hoping you guys will be able to get a hold more skillful gameplay footage soon. I want these guest experts to have a great time going through them.

@A_Planner_and_a_Dreamer 10 months ago (edited)

Glad I’m not the only one who thought the gameplay footage was terrible. Hopefully we get a better player next time.

@solidejake 10 months ago

You didn't even get to Operation Snake Eater in the game of Snake Eater and showed a literal Navy SEAL nothing but beginner gameplay of the pseudo-tutorial? For shame!

@davidgill5699 10 months ago

If you want the best codename like BigBoss The Boss etc it's supposed to be the least number of getting caught and enmies killed that you can.

The point is it's supposed to be like snake was never there so no corpses

@JohnDoe-ug3su 10 months ago

I am not the best MGS player but guys, you gotta give the reviewer some better gameplay, I mean, you guys know that you don't have to engage these enemies right ?
Snake is supposed to be unseen

@corynn.l5146 10 months ago (edited)

He's wearing a wet suit. He is going to be in the rain and water so he needs to stay somewhat dry and warm. We see him without his top camo and the set suit shirt

@pleaseenteraname2311 10 months ago

I'd love to see how he would play the game. I'd watch!

@acebdefg5582 10 months ago

should ve shown the moment when Snake is glazing about his weapon. Also many interactions with Sigint would ve been interesting for a real Navy Seal.
The dogma of all MGS was to be stealthy as possible and to avoid killing. Its Military Fiction but still has alot realistic details
