Can the Mammotion LUBA Mini 2 AWD 1500 finally solve the problem that my previous robotic lawnmower has repeatedly failed to overcome for about 15 years?
That's exactly what I'm testing in this video – in a garden that's anything but easy for robotic lawnmowers.
What do robotic lawnmowers have to do with motorhomes? A whole lot – at least for me! When we're away for several weeks in our motorhome, the lawn at home naturally continues to grow.
That's precisely why a robotic lawnmower has been reliably doing its job on our property for about 15 years. Despite a few minor shortcomings, it has saved us a lot of work over the years and ensured that our garden looks well-maintained even during extended trips.
But now it's time for a successor.
Whether the Mammotion LUBA Mini 2 AWD 1500 can truly replace my previous robotic lawnmower, you'll see in this video. Together, we'll install the new mower and test it for the first time – under challenging conditions.
Our garden is anything but simple: Two separate lawn areas are connected by a long, narrow, winding, and sometimes steep passage. This is exactly where my previous robotic lawnmower always had problems. Whether the LUBA handles this challenge better, you'll find out in this first practical test.
The biggest difference compared to my previous robot: The LUBA Mini 2 AWD 1500 no longer needs a boundary wire. Instead, it navigates using modern GPS satellite positioning, cameras, and other sensors. Mammotion uses the NetRTK system for precise positioning, so there was no need to install a separate RTK antenna on my property.
For control and monitoring, the LUBA already has an integrated 4G mobile module with eSIM. The costs for mobile network and data volume are included for the first three years. Alternatively, the mower can, of course, also be operated via Wi-Fi.
Furthermore, the LUBA offers many other exciting features – including battery preheating to ensure the mower remains operational even in low temperatures, and an integrated camera that allows you to monitor the robot and your property remotely.
In this video, I'll show you the complete installation, setup with mapping, and the initial practical test. A detailed long-term test, including my experiences from several weeks of operation, will follow in a second video.

Die Funktionen in der App zu steuern ist watscheneinfach. Und ist die Fläche für eine Batterieladubg zu groß, fährt der Roboter einfach zum nachladen und macht später fertig.

Zu Deiner Frage die einzelnen Bereiche anzusteuern ==> wenn Du die App geöffnet hast das Bild vom Luba antippen, dann unten auf Mähen und dann fragt er dich welchen Bereich usw. also relativ einfach wenn man den Dreh raus hat.
Zu der Äußerung das du jetzt auch der Propaganda Blase ... mir unklar das Leben besteht nicht nur aus Wohnmobilen und Campen. Wäre schön da wären wir nur mit unserem Otti unterwegs.
Es gibt auch andere Dinge im Leben die interessant sind und die Publiziert werden und du machst das sehr gut und allgemeinverständlich. Ich kann als Handwerker zwar relativ viel selber machen und bastle viel aber Deine Tipps sind immer hilfreich und haben mir schon öfters geholfen. In dem Sinn mach weiter so.
