I cannot hear Poker Face anymore without adding "Come on Barbie let's go party".

FYI - This song was used by Ed Sheerans defense lawyers in his copyright lawsuit to prove that music and chords are limited and that they are not owned by any artist.

And this four chord progression was written 400 years ago. Pachabel’s Canon - one of the must popular wedding marches.

Tim Minchin was on stage before them, so on the spot they added part of one of his songs to the mix (Take your canvas bags, take your canvas bags to the supermarket).  So talented.

Two Things,

1. They change the songs out with each other all the time for basically every show, its almost never exactly the same, they even did it for this video, with stuff like Canvas Bags, a song that was sang by Tim Minchin right before them.

2.This video was actually shown in Court to prove that a singer couldn't copywrite a Chord Progression.

FYI - the reason why "Canvas Bags" got such a big reaction from the crowd is that it was a song performed by another comedian/musician (Tim Minchin) earlier in the night on the same show, and they made a last minute change to their set to include it.

Tim would definitely be funny to react to, either here or on the Vs The World channel

You definitely need to react to their video "How To Write A Love Song" -- it's a send up of how formulaic 90s R&B songs could get that you'd definitely appreciate

Interesting how THIS is the the song by Axis of Awesome that goes viral. Is it because its a four chord song?

Heh, they actually had a song "Yes, We Know, He Looks Like Jack Black".

I used to know Benny through a Impro Comedy show he used to musically accompany weekly in Sydney. He wrote this song originally while studying at the Sydney Conservatory of Music.

Unfortunately AoA have ended their partnership but I'm always hoping they'll reform down the road.

Some of the songs were huge in Australia (where A of A are from) but wouldn't be generally known to an American audience - lots of the bigger cheers were for Australia specific songs.

From the Offspring, to P!nk, to Lady Gaga, to Barbie song, to the Fray, to 3OH!3, to MGMT is unreal

This is why I love Progressive Rock/Metal. It breaks up the monotony.

The Canvas bags song at 09:00 is actually not in the original song, its a song Tim Minchin sung on stage before them, and they just threw it into their act on the fly to mock him a little :P So its a bit of an injoke with the audience :D

Yo you gotta show this to krizz kaliko

4:09 - I love (maybe even lurve) how they’re saying “Well, that’s just two songs…” and Benny turns to make eye contact while starting the third song.  Just… so much shade thrown in that look.  While playing piano and singing, and he just smirks and sings right over whatever they were saying.

I'm sure you're aware but it's not really 4 specific chords, it's just the I-V-vi-IV progression. Take any major chord as your I and you can work out the rest. If you took the key of C, it'd be Cmaj-Gmaj-Amin-Fmaj. The relationships between the chords are what matters and will have the same harmonic quality/movement no matter the key. Then you just transpose the pitch of the vocals/melodies to match.

"My reaction aint a substitute for the original content"  The most humble and true words Iv'e heard from a react channel.

what makes 9:23 really funny is that they started their bit saying they don't have a 4 chords song but that song is theirs.

Their choice of songs and lyrics at the end always get me. The "Im not here for your entertainment, you don't reaslly wanna mess with me" pink song sprinkled in within the context of the message they are exposing here is just great, I get goosebumps every time.
