The (relative) quietness after the match point of this game is one of the most satisfying moments in table tennis history lol

No matter win or lose, Waldner is a great player, best friend of Chinese table tennis fun.

When Waldner walked out of the arena to change clothes, the chinese crowd gave him a standing ovation. He was overwhelmed by that.

I appreciate how they don't take a minute between every point like in modern matches.

0:47在观众席上出现年轻的尹霄，吴敬平，陆元盛，和李晓东！岁月无情啊。。。

Amazing to see Waldner so calm after the great win !

Wang Tao essentially lost at 6:20 when Waldner won the umpire's coin throw and offered Wang the service start. Because of this, Waldner could serve at the end of set 3.

The chinese team was so strong that the 2 sitting on the team reach the single final

Waldner's serve and serve returns never cease to amaze me. He played a lot of shots into Wang's short pips backhand, knowing that Wang could not loop with it. Even though, it was a very close match.
