As a Portuguese, I must say that Ronaldo playing at 41 at high level, it's pathetic. It's sad when a player doesn't see that age coming for everyone!

Argentina fans are crying that Messi is leaving while Portugal fans are crying that Ronaldo is refusing to leave.🤣😅

If Portugal were ever to appoint him manager  I think he would make himself a player/manager 😂 please don't do that Portugal

As a Messi fan , loving this end
😂

"Die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villian"

Guys, most Portuguese people stand with the head coach! One of the reasons we couldn't stand Martinez anymore was exactly because Ronaldo played all game by decree not by merit!

Ronaldo too much EGO

Ronaldo is a narcissist and anyone who says otherwise is just in denial. You all knew the truth about Ronaldo’s selfish behaviour, Narcissistic Personality and me me me behaviour for a long time, why pretend that you are suprised? This is why many people love Messi because it’s always the team first for him. Mbappe is also gonna end up like Ronaldo but with little trophies and awards. Now waiting to see Ronaldo fangirls personally attacking me and pretending that they are suprised to find out that their godfather is not a narcissist.

His new haircut is so funny, it suits him so well, he's been going crazy in the head theses last couple of years. 💀

A soccer player is paid to train and play. If he is sent to the bench, he must warm up and may or may not get on the pitch. A professional soccer player is paid for all of this and more. Getting upset about it is not the mark of a professional, but rather of someone who puts himself above everything else. Love him but in this situation i cannot agree whit the attitude.

Makes me think of Miroslav Klose…World Cup record scorer (till this year’s WC), when he was subbed off in his last ever game in the World Cup final against Argentina for Mario Götze, Klose was so humble, he said to Götze “You can do it!”, no ego there, he cared for the team and wasn’t selfish for his career stats.  Ronaldo clearly just wants to score goals for himself, great athlete, but just too big an ego now.

Terrible finish to his career..

Portugal is a formidable side and has been for the last 25 years. Nations league is for fine-tuning your national team for the euros/ World Cup, and of course, to generate revenue. This is a time for experimentation and growth of younger and marginalized players. It really makes no sense for Ronald to be there at his age other than money and ego.

It is getting hard to defend ronaldo at this point....he is such a narcissist

Greatest of all time? Not even greatest from Portugal....

Gaynaldooooooooooo 😆

Ronaldo’s ego has been fed by the media, full stop.
His biggest achievement in his career was to be compared with much better other players, bigger than his trophies.
To me Ronaldo cannot be compared with Zidane, Nazario or Messi, he is just a striker with a bunch of goals, many of them from being a professional diver and lots of interviews praising himself.
Glad that Portugal with a good squad said in the end, stop wasting young talents.

As a messi fan, I'm sad for CR7. He deserves better than another Piers Morgan interview.

Gabby doesn’t understand managers job 😂

Portuguese coach told 41 yo Ronaldo who’s washed to piss off, it’s not that nuanced nor out of line for a coach to act.
