My friend and I was in Istanbul last year and he order coffee.  He didn’t know you were not suppose to drink the grains at the bottom.  So he drain it dry and his face was priceless.

My grandfather had settled in Kadikoy in 1915 after he returned from the Yemen War, my father, my uncles and my aunts were born in Kadikoy, me, my siblings and all the cousins were born in Kadıkoy, my two kids were born in Kadikoy. Long story short, we as a family have been here in Kadikoy for 110 years and four generations, we obviously know and love Kadikoy, and I watched your video with great interest. In my childhood, I used to go to Kuzguncuk every weekend to visit my uncle and relatives. Back then, it was more beautiful from my perspective—quiet and peaceful. Unfortunately, these days it can get quite crowded, and sometimes you can’t even find a place to sit.
The tree-lined street you walked through used to be filled with local shopkeepers—grocers, bakeries, greengrocers, etc. There were no burger joints, dessert shops, or various restaurants like there are now. The old version was much nicer. All the shopkeepers were locals from Kuzguncuk.I guess as we get older, we start to miss the old days more.

The Asian side of Istanbul looks beautiful, and this video has us even more excited for our upcoming trip! 😊

I have stayed in a hotel on the Asian side and it was the best, It's quite quiet unlike the busy European side, as you can get to know Turkish people more

I will be in Turkey next April and will be sure to visit the Asian side after watching your video.  I have been to Istanbul more than 10 times but never enough time to go to the Asian side
