54 y.o and i have learned a lot of people are just dirt and ain't worth dealing with. Living in solitude is peace.

This is why I keep everyone at an arms length, it's easier now that I'm retired.

Being kind makes you a target for sociopaths.

All of them  are terrible. People who are into hurting people, this should never be tolerated.

I'd rather be alone than put up with that shit.!

I had all these experience. I will not tolerate that kind of bahavior anymore.

Hate it when they say they were joking, and we know better.

1) Disrespecting you in front of other people.
2) Making Lying a habit.
3) Embarrassing you in public.
4) Ignoring your boundaries.
5) Taking advantage of your kindness.
6) Only Contacts you when it’s convenient.
7) Dismisses your feelings. ‘you are being too sensitive”.
8) Never appreciate what you do.
9) Turns everything into a competition. Constantly compare themselves to you.
10) Ignore what you have to say.
11) Apologizing without ever changing.

What is really bad is when you're upset and crying and you're getting laughed at to your face!!!!!! We live in a fallen world but that's no excuse!!!!

It exposes other's character.
NOT yours.
Stay the course.

What I can’t stand is hearing from someone only when they need a favor. Otherwise they don’t have time for you.

So many of my friends have been like this, much better being friendless.

I just ended a 50 yr. friendship for all those reasons.  She was a push you away, hurt you, buy a gift and pull you back person. Ignorant beyond measure and totally jealous of the attention I got from being an artist. She would never compliment my work but would definitely make fun of it, just joking right?  The older she got the more despicable she became.  I wish I had listened to my mother years ago when she told me "She is not your friend." I wouldn't have wasted 50 years on her.

53 years ,  still searching for mutual respect,  consideration and kindness.....

My husband would disrespect me, undermine me, lie about me, in front of the children, they grew up to treat me the same way

😔 sad thing is everybody  is like this to me in my entire life😢all of the above

They act like they are doing you some kind of favor by allowing you the honor of helping them

I have seen this in the workplace when the employer and some of the employees do these things to others.  The workplace becomes hostile and people just don't want to work there.

Number 7 is the big one for me -- I always feel disrespected when people who should care dismiss my feelings. Dismissiveness = devaluation.
