Looking back at the early days of Ragnarok Zero Global, I can't help but wonder how differently I would have approached character boosting if I had known what I know now.
During those first few weeks, every resource mattered, and finding ways to level up multiple characters without constantly spending Zeny was a big part of the journey. I already had my own way of boosting characters, but there's one path I wish I had explored much earlier.
In this video, we're taking a look back at the potential of the Mage class and what it could eventually become in Ragnarok Zero Global. It's the kind of setup I wish I had prepared during the early days of the server, especially when second jobs weren't available yet.
We'll revisit the idea of using a Wizard for character boosting and low-maintenance auto-farming, and why I think having one ready back then could have made a real difference in my progression.

this whole boosting thing for one, yes it's all fine and dandy when you are boosting your own characters, which like you mentioned, leveling a mage is really not all that difficult. i have leveled 2 wizards and a sage, and all of them took me less than 48 hours of AFK farming to get to level 50. was definitely easier during the baby shark collab, but my wizard i made after the event and wasn't all that hard tbh. AND YET. there are people offering ''leeching services'' for an arm and a leg on this game. given the current exp tables, we all understand that leveling from 40-50 is hell for majority of classes, and there are people that literally prey on another's suffering. i have seen mostly people asking for up to 1m per hour for leeching, some asking 1m per level. such steep prices for you to effing AFK? really??
Everyone would be better off creating an alt account to boost their main - which is what i eventually did since i got so fed up with these people trying to gouge out your eye and teeth for them to LITERALLY just AFK. like i said - leveling a mage to wiz literally takes less than 48hours of AFK farming, so i just left it on the background for 2 days and voila, only thing you need to do after that is to keep it at level 50.
Edit: And i am so happy that you actually suggested maps like hode for leeching - that's the go to map for majority of people. but you will see a bunch of brainless people crowding low level maps with their wizards. if they wanted to farm orc dun / orc vil for trash loot? fine i totally understand, i do that too. but i see SO MANY wizards at steel chon chons - a map famous for mage leveling. why? exp is shit for leech - after shared exp you get what? less than 2k per kill - compared to 6k per hode. and the loot is worth basically nothing, cards are worth nothing. only real benefit they could get from it is to spite other mage players from leveling.
