This Tiny DIY Power Station is Insanely Powerful! ⚡ In this video, I’ll show you how I built a 15 cm mini power station that delivers up to 250W of output at 220V AC. It’s small, portable, and powerful enough to run real appliances.
If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to make a portable power station or build your own DIY inverter project, this tutorial is for you. I’ll walk through the design, the DIY power bank setup, and how I managed to fit everything into such a compact build.
Features of this DIY portable power station:
220V AC output (up to 250W)
Hand-sized, only 15 cm long
Built-in customized 220V inverter
Lightweight and portable design
I'll take you through every step of this small power station build, from the raw components to a fully functional hand-sized power station. We’ll cover everything you need to create your own DIY portable inverter and get a real 220V power station in the palm of your hand.
Enjoy!

- Use 2-3A pico fuses on each battery for safety when using secondhand cells (even with new cells cuz why not)
- Most of these BMS boards have a temperature sensor input, use it.
- Keep it DC at this scale. Converting DC to AC back to DC just to charge a phone is very inefficient and cause unnecessary heat. Instead, use a buck converter, or even better get a 12V to USB-C Step-Down Module. Use LED lights, it's more efficient and no need for an inverter.
Make something safe that you are comfortable throwing in your backpack, instead of something that you know may overheat. These cells get high internal resistance overtime and the last thing you want is a thermal runaway strapped to your back.
