Ever wondered what happens around the World Trade Center before 9AM?
On a Wednesday morning, I walked from Broadway near Trinity Church through the Financial District, past the 9/11 Memorial and into the World Trade Center’s Oculus, before continuing to Wall Street and The Battery — 56 minutes of New York City morning life in 4K.
Coffee cups, work bags, food-cart steam and streams of commuters arriving through the PATH and subway connections. From the morning commute around the World Trade Center, the walk continues into quieter historic streets, past the New York Stock Exchange and through the gardens of The Battery, ending along the waterfront with a distant view of the Statue of Liberty.
Filmed ahead of the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, this walk also captures an ordinary morning around a place of remembrance. The visit to the 9/11 Memorial’s South Pool begins at 08:20.
