Stitch is controversial because he is not a sidekick. Lilo and Stitch are both the heroes of the story. The sidekicks are Jumba and Pleakley.

Timon and Pumbaa are the best Disney hero sidekicks and friends Simba can ask for.

Timothy Q. Mouse is one of the most underrated characters in Disney history. He's not just a sidekick; he's the driving force behind Dumbo's confidence and his whole journey! Without him, Dumbo would have remained a sad, isolated elephant, but this brave, street-smart mouse believed in him and orchestrated his rise to fame. Timothy's loyalty, his quick thinking, and his pure heart make him an absolute superstar, and he deserves way more credit for making Dumbo the classic it is.

These sidekicks are the best. Most of them show courage and loyalty and others are very loving and caring

Plankton's evil plans dumb to brilliant

So many years on, and Robin's performance as Genie is still utterly iconic :)

The only placing I disagree with has to be Tinkbell. Not many sidekicks go into attempted murder on an innocent girl and wouldn't surprise me if she also influenced the mermaids into trying to drown Wendy as well. Not to mention she did sell out Peter's hideout to Hook once again because of Wendy. Yeah she's loyal to Peter,(maybe a bit for other reasons. Not that kind people) but it's hard to look past just how much of a vendetta she held throughout most of the movie towards Darling Wendy

Characters who deserve mention:
The Lemur family, Eema, Url, and Baylene from Dinosaur
Rutt and Tuke from Brother Bear
Morph, B.E.N, and Dr. Delbert from Treasure Planet

10:15 the strange thing is, even tho Jaq & Gus were made a decade after Jerry was, they seem older. Part of that might be bc Cinderella takes place in the 1800’s and is more timeless whereas most Tom & Jerry shorts take place in the era they were made and are slightly more products of their time,

8:52 I mean, he caught the Heart of Tefiti and gave it to Moana in the final fight against Tekah

I'm going to say that Koda needs to be higher and that's for a simple correction. Kenai chased down his mother and pelted her with rocks. That resulted in the sacrifice of Sidka, Kenai's older brother. He then ruthlessly hunted down Koda's mother and killed her to avenge the death of his brother which he caused. To forgive and support Kenai after that was crazy.

I feel these characters should’ve been included on the list too: the crows from Dumbo, Rafiki from The Lion King, the lemurs, Baylene, and Eema from Dinosaur, BEN, Dr. Doppler, and Captain Amelia from Treasure Planet, and Felix Jr. from Wreck It Ralph.

I feel like a few of these aren't exactly sidekicks and are closer to partners or costars; Stitch, Nick, Sisu, and Baymax to name a few. Stitch's name is literally in the name of the movie.

I also feel like Iago should get some special mention for his redemption come the second movie.

Genie is my favorite Disney Hero Sidekick!

1:11 In fact, inrl (in real life), owls aren’t wise. They are ambush predators.

I’m assuming the wrath and lust sinner medals would’ve gone to Tong & Lumiere respectively had they not shared an entry with other characters who didn’t deserve those medals

You forgot the part where Archimedes reported to Merlin that Arthur was in trouble and he’s in the house of the wicked witch Madame Mim and Merlin went to the rescue to Arthur.

27:45 wowI thought he was gonna be on the top of your list

@justincarawan-carawanco.pu1639 1 year ago

11:01 I'd argue he didn't since she was rapidly aging to death. He just got her away from Repunzle. In fact, we see her reduced to dust before she hits the ground.
