Sigil is the Switzerland of DnD.

It's so funny, I just clicked on your lore playlist and you happen to upload a new video at the exact time. Time to binge watch!

Your video conforms to the Lady of Pain's doctrine. You please Sigil.

Maybe the Lady of Pain is like the Cosmic Balance in the Eternal Champion mythos: something that is beyond law and chaos, and here, good and evil as well, that, in its own domain, is absolute in its power to override or reject those extremes. Dunno - just occurred to me as I was watching. Great video!

My intro to D&D was reading the Avatar Crisis books when I was about 12. I started playing tabletop in The Forgotten Realms because of that, and naturally bought the first 2 BG and IWD games. My intro to Sigil was Planescape: Torment, but have since played tabletop there, many years ago. Loved it as a campaign, so different from a typical fantasy setting

I noticed that you uploaded this as the first video after your God hierarchy one. I wonder if that was deliberate, because people would wonder "Well where would The Lady of Pain fit in here?"

The answer being that you're gonna get Mazed for asking that question.

Man this is perfect! Im starting a series of one shots of my party going to different places in the multiverse and doing tasks to keep balance between good and evil. Ive been thinking of where they could start each mission and was going to go with the closest city but this is fantastic!

I absolutely love this so much!!!! I'm planning a campaing where the players have to travel through the outer planes and this was super helpful!!!

"Rolling With Difficulty" is an actual play podcast where they bounce around the planescape. Their second campaign takes place entirely within Sigil. I highly recommend listening to it for those who have interest

I appreciate the Sigil has been "brought into" the newer versions of D&D, but I feel that the pre-faction-war era was still the most interesting lore-wise, mainly because of the faction changes (although let's face it, almost everything - Forgotten Realms, the Hells, original Spelljammer, Dark Sun - was at its peak lore-wise in second edition, as that's what the designers focused upon.

Been binging at work. Love your vids so far 👍🫡

4:42 it's like a tyre but not like an inner tube

Great video! I'm a new player and a lore junkie, and there's so much to wade through - thanks for making it easy to understand!

Another excellent video! I'll be real with you, YT has been throwing more spaghetti at my wall than ever before, most of it only tangentially relevant to my interests. i scroll past tons of nonsense, and i avoided ur videos for a while too bc .... well tbh i was afraid it was gonna be AI. so many of these types of videos are, and ur channel is so new. but i'm so glad i finally clicked. ur channel is a breath of fresh air. relaxing lore read by someone with a calm and pleasant voice, over official art?? DIRECTLY up my street. Exactly what i love and crave. your videos are all fantastic, i hope u keep making them, and i look forward to the day when i suddenly realize u have 200k subs and i remember following when the number was 1% of that XD it's happened many times before. i have exquisite taste. 😜

0:30 ooooh, I know that rat. :3

I study the lore of Abberations and had a great time when I found Aboleths. Think you could do videos on lore of beast like this

Great Job! Hyped!

great video, just curious what the music at around 17:00 is

Cool video👍

Sometimes when I run Mystara I replace the Hallow World with Sigil. Players want to search for the mystical realm need in their world and they find that it's much more than the rumors say.

It's good to change things up and surprise players.

How it got there? Blame Blackmoor exploding.

Edit: Will also always think of the Lady of Pain as being an Old One from Mystara so there's that too lol
