A hike up to Valhalla viewpoint and a chat about autonomy. And a campfire lunch! Valhalla, or Valhall, is not only a place in Viking mythology, but also a place near my home.

Think for yourselves. Be self reliant. Take your own path. Get away from the television, away from the screens. Get out in the woods and the mountains. Keep a journal, or make notes. Make do with what you have - learn to improvise. Look around and enjoy the view. Respect those who came before us. Appreciate nature. Make time for good people. Awesome video, thank you, Bjorn.

I completely agree. It is scary to think that most people seem fine with surrendering their freedoms and individuality and giving it over to governments. People, especially young people, are too dependent on “acceptance” and “group think” and have lost the ability to think for themselves, debate ideas, and cope with adversities in healthy ways. Social media, although a big reason for these problems, is not the only reason for these shortcomings. I remember the old saying, “It takes a community to raise a child”.

I love the idea of turning off social media and electronics and getting out into nature and togetherness with family. Why I dream of owning a home on lots of wooded land without any neighbors!

Thanks for sharing your time and showing us your wonderful historic locations and wilderness.

"Spending far too much time in front of a screen."

He said and I agreed, as I watched this video from a screen.

This man truly is authentic. I wish I had a father like him as a kid.

Even though I am a Japanese, I grew up through listening the Northern Mythology. The story said that brave warriors are chosen to fight at the final war "Ragnarok" and they are summoned to Valhalla after their death. This theory could be the best method to maintain Men's Mental Health for Vikings in the battle field.

An extremely interesting and thought provoking discussion. A very broad topic as well but I will touch on one point.
It's ironic that people who take chemicals, drugs, as recreation think they are practicing autonomy, sadly sometimes they completely lose their freedom, becoming slaves to the substance. It can be a trap. Take care my friend, Wade

I really like your viewpoint on things. For some reason, Norwegian history, and Vikings fascinate me. I was raised Christian, but paganism attracts me, and I don’t know why.
