That's going to be a no go for me. I'm a solo female traveler, and I like to walk outside for exercise without being followed or harassed. I'm glad you shared your experience! I won't be booking a stay.

I was there in ramadan in march 2026, i loved agadir, felt very safe all day n all night as a black female solo traveller.  Stayed at the hamilton, it wasnt great, wouldnt go back there, agadir is windy n dusty tho, u dnt realise till its time to go home n everyones coughing! But agadir is deffo a lovely country with great weather!  The meat wasnt right for me tasted odd, the people some nice ones but mainly pretentious n rude but that didnt ruin it for me as i didnt go there for the ppl i went solely for the weather so.....). Oh!  And learn 'french'. Itll make ur life so much easier!  I would go back, this year, mayb in sept oct time i like travelling out of england for winter sun, england is lovely in the summer so i tend to travel oct to april, agadir is up there as their winter weather is like 20 degrees which is lovely better than englands 5 or 10 degrees!  Oh n get on the choo choo train its fab n shows u the main bay area, so helpful in getting ur bearings. That view hotel looks fabulous in pics vids and in real life!  Offella was worth every penny altho be warned, the cable car is not fir the feint of heart! I literally had a mini panic attack half way, very very odd weightless feeling but i lived it and wud do it again!  Omg do not trust the cab drivers they are like puranas wen it comes to money!  So disgracefully behaved.  I used the bus n it was fab!  I got the alsa airport shuttle for 8mad return a can is 300mad one way!  Bus was clean Airy spacious i loved it!
I think ill try tge view hotel next time.  The argana n hamilton hotels are uphill its not steeep but after a long day of exploring n walking u deffo wish it was on even a tiny incline, the walking was hard going but u have to do it to see all the great places, i lost a stone after a week in agadir thru walkin im not complaining but yeah it was a lot, ill take me roller skates next time as that promenade is fantastic skating area.  Well if u go enjoy it is well worth a visit just wear a face mask to stop the dust gettin in ur sinuses n on ur chest n wear a hat, my forehead got well burned!  Loo

We went to Agadir about 30 years ago on a cruise. Popped into a shop just to browse as you do. The shopkeeper wouldn’t leave us alone trying to make us buy anything he’d seen us looking at, it felt quite threatening to be honest. Another time we went into Casablanca on the bus by ourselves. Got off the bus walked a few yards said to my husband I’m not staying here, we got the next bus back asap back. Never again.
Ps. When you took the wad of notes out your pocket I had visions of him grabbing the lot and doing a runner …don’t take any chances.

Eating outside is less expensive...

If I were in your shoes, I’d live the experience and give a little money even to those who aren’t asking for anything no need to be stingy. But if I don’t have any money on me, I’d simply say, “You didn’t warn me in advance, so I don’t have it with me.” Or I’d give something if I feel the person deserves it, and only what I can afford. And don’t forget — in tourist areas, it’s like that all over the world. But if you go to non-tourist places, many people will help you without expecting money, to a degree you can’t even imagine. So if you always say no, you’ll miss out on many wonderful moments. Because Moroccans are incredibly hospitable to a very high degree but you won’t find those people easily in touristy spots. You’ll meet them if you truly travel and go on adventures in Morocco.

If you get away from the seafront and find the little cafes and bars, these will be where the locals eat and drink. The locals bars are an acquired taste, but much less costly for alcohol. Usually much less pricey than the stuff on the seafront. Roughly £2-3 for a nice tajine.
And buy water in bulk from Carrefour or Marjam. Or failing that the little kiosks that you'll see. Airport money wise...you're better checking out the ATM in the arrivals hall. And don't bother with the taxi if you're going to the centre of Agadir from the airport. Turn left after Arrivals and head for the bus. Costs around 50MAD for a single trip.
Last bit of advice, try to pick up some French before you go. For many Moroccan people it's the second language, and you'll tend to see signage in Arabic and French.

Im from agadir keep yourself to yourself he was ok but awareness he’s not a qualified guide could be a nasty scammer you gave £ 16:00 pounds more then what he’s bargaining for the lady very clever strait away refused to go further up well done all ways no try to get things yourself with out any help they expect help!! 😊
