How Strong Is the Tyranid Hive Mind? | Warhammer 40K

A Falling Cow

I have still yet to do a single video dedicated to the Nids outside of my ranking of all their units which I'll probably have to redo at some point...so alas I owe it to the very elusive Tyranid fans that make up the Herd to finally give them a video.

In today's milktastic episode I'll cover who the Hive Mind Is, its many many many statements, its disturbing lack of feats, and finally how it scales compared to the rest of the 40K universe!

Pack Your Bug Spray, a Fly Swatter, and LOTS OF MILK! The Cow Hole Awaits!

00:00 - Intro
01:27 - What Is the Tyranid Hivemind?
13:07 - The Big Bugs Brain's Feets and Abilties
28:42 - A Cow's Slander Hour
41:00 - The Hive Mind Vs 40K

Hope you enjoy this one fellas! October is gonna be a super fun month! Maybe we can return to the Nids if we hit that sweet sweet milk goal!

Just you wait, once an STC reveals how to create bugspray, it's GG.

Something I think is worth noting is that most of these instances seem to be the Hive Mind’s first encounter with something. The Great Rift opening was the first time the hive mind had encountered such psychic trauma, its encounter with the light of the astronomicon as it attacks the librarian also seems to be its first time tasting the power of the emperor. It’s entirely in character for the hive mind to struggle against something once and subsequently adapt to it

Would be cool if the Galaxy threatening threat threatened the Galaxy every once and a while

Strange how the debatably scariest things in 40k can be leveled down to “dumb bugs who need their mommy“

I hit that, 'Its time to power scale', with my whole heart.

Tyranid player here. You can't hurt us any more than GW does every second of every day.

So what I'm hearing is that every anti-feat is just that the Hivemind isn't absolutely invincible. Your slander shall be consumed and absorbed like everything else.

As a nid fan I think the ranking is perfectly fair for having no feats.

Regarding the Nekrons: the Tyrannids just want to eat. I saw this one meme where a guy opens his fridge thinking of a steak, a burger, ice cream, etc and then he sees a monkey wrench, a screwdriver, and a hammer titled
“Tyrannids approaching a massive planet; It’s a Nekron Tombworld.”

When it came to the eldar and slaanesh, im pretty sure the hive mind is well aware of what the Eldar fear most and that it would be in the Hive's best interest to let Slaanesh eat the soul of an Eldar that just destroyed a planet it was looking to eat, lest his soul is recovered and he is reborn or put in the Eldar's bone matrix thing.

I will never read a Warhammer 40k book or play a game but I can't get enough of the lore.

So in summary, the Hive mind’s strength is purely from statements, excepts and conjecture from characters. Instead of pure feats. At least with the bald man we get feats in his ascended state.

Cow,, I got into Warhammer about 10 years ago and I've watched just about every Lore channel on YouTube... you sir, in my humble opinion, are the goat... or cow? I appreciate your craft.
