I feel like why the police didn't showed up? is because playtime co. paid the authorities so the investigation can be delayed.

This is what happened when we played with toys as kids.

A good chunk of the toys likely realized. That there was no sustainable way to live in the factory in the aftermath of the hour of joy. So they decided to fight against the prototype and his allies. As they likely saw it, they could either slowly devolve into savages and turn on each other or fight for the chance of a breakout.
