Slipknot Binding - No Sew Binding for Handmade Book

Today I’m demonstrating how to make handmade book with no sewing, using a slipknot binding. You simply need a stack of decorated pages on card, a holepunch, and twine or thread. From there it’s just a matter of threading your twine through your holes and making simple, pretty knots.

Love this. I'd tape the ends together with masking tape or similar to make it slightly easier to thread through the holes. This kind of book could be used for so many things, Recipies, Psalms, Quotes, fashion history.... Word on one side, pictures on the other. This one is really nicely finished and colored.

I did macrame years ago. The length of your strands make it much easier. Almost need a macrame board to keep strands separate 😂. Thank you!

This is very very pretty. Especially in this size, I love small books. Although every book is a treasure, the small ones are extra special to me.

Pure vintage bliss… A treasure trove of creativity… Thanks so much for teaching us this interesting craft... it allows to step into a storybook. Now I will go and make a couple of slip-knotted books for my grandchildren. I am more motivated to start learning when I think of something to make to entertain my little ones. 🤍🤍🤍
