I feel you bro, but Ghetto isn't an alter ego, its more like a past life. Ghetts started as Ghetto and he changed up as part of growing up. Its not like a fake persona its more like a relic of his past. Also the Ghetto part of this was so much harder than the Ghetts part IMO

Ghetto isn't really Ghetts' alto ego like that. Its his old rap name and he used to be way more violent and in the streets, so he's when he says man wanna draw ghetto out constantly, he's talking about his old self.

Ghetto is literally who ghetts used to be.   He has evolved!
You need to understand grime and the history of British hip hop to appreciate ghetto /ghetts

To be honest, when Ghetts turns into "Ghetto" its not really an alter ego, he just switches to his old style of grime rap, fast cadence with crazy flows and rough violent voice since thats how he rapped when he was really about that gang life early in his career

His conflict of interest album is crazy and needs to be listened to in full. A couple stand outs are:
Hop Out
Fine Wine
Little Bo peep
Mozambique

Ghetts Mozambique fire tune 🔥🔥🔥

Ghetts delivery is special , no one delivers bars like him that i know of.

I see the Ghetts/Ghetto thing as less of an "alter ego" thing, but rather it's more his old style, he had levelled up and mellowed out when he took on the Ghetts name instead

Kano and Ghetts - Class of Deja
You will not be disappointed. Ghetts and Kano have a chemistry that is unheard of. And now you have the ear for the UK slang start on Kano. Uk version of Kendrick. Anyone who has grown up on Grime/UK Rap has them 2 in their top 3 no debate. These 2 are in to 20yr careers for a reason

Quality reactions btw, I like that you are always real with your opinions, just because your a reactor, you shouldn’t have to like everything, that’s the point of music

Ghetto isn't his alter ego, its him, it was his original name 15 years ago and he was much more aggressive with the flow, delivery and bars back then and he was in the streets back then. Obviously as hes got older he has matured and it is not as aggressive and changed name to ghetts to be more commercially accepted but sometimes taps into that raw personality from back then including the raw flows and delivery

Ghetts - Listen

Ghetto is his name before he changed it up to Ghetts in about 2010. He always rapped pretty fast on his earlier material and that's his callback to his early mixtape work with using the Ghetto name here.

Love that u are embracing ghetts. Most people do a couple ghetts and realize it's not for them. There IS SO MUCH FIRE that ghetts has created it's actually insane.

Ghetts using his grime flow is just a way of showing everyone that grimes still since we don’t have many top tier grime artists who are around, but I feel you it’s hard to digest if it’s not your thing

Yooo my bro, I hope you see this.. I’ve seen all your reactions of Ghetts and I think they’re really good.. Keep them coming..
Right… I don’t usually talk in the comment section but I feel compelled to  my bro lol. I’ve been a Ghetts fan for over 20 years, His Original style or his true form is Ghetto.. (Grime OG), I respect the fact that you said you found that style less appealing, maybe this could be the reason that Grime couldn’t penetrate the U.S scene. But the Olders in the UK love this Style like mums cooking. Ghetts is the best the UK hands down.. From his live performances, radio Freestyles to his versatility on songs.. LISTEN TO THESE TWO TRACKS PLEASE- One Take and Fine Wine. You’ll see how versatile this Don really is!! Let’s connect I’ll put you on!

This is what makes music great, I know that as soon as you checked out of the Ghetto part of the song 90% of the people watching would have been shouting at their screens.
It's all relative, you didn't grow up on that so it's jarring, whereas I know a lot of people would love a full album of old school Ghetto style music. Ghetts even refers to it at the end "What do you want from me? Man wanna draw out Ghetto constantly"

There is so much to talk about from this video if you aren't up on your UK history with these men.

This is a good song, definitely one of the more "commercial" ones though. He has soooo many better songs on the album, I'd love to see you check out;

Ghetto was just his old name from 20 years ago. His style was more aggressive back then.
As most artists going a long time you progress and chance a bit as an artist hence Ghetts.

Ghetts Microsoft word , Mozambique 👍🏾
